Guys. I just put this on, and it’s so good it feels dishonest. What magic is in this thing??? I feel like I’m going to end up telling everyone at the event that I got really good shape wear and this isn’t really what I look like. Update: After wearing it for 15 minutes my ribs started to hurt. It’s not even a flaw of the product. It was just more discomfort than I was willing to experience. I went with normal firm control shapewear. So, if you are looking for some corset level compression, with the understanding that squeezing your torso might hurt but you’ll look incredible, I would recommend this. It has no boning at all, just super high compression smooth fabric. There are no hard or rough parts that poked me. I ordered my normal size and it fit perfectly. It seems impressively well made. It snatched my waist, but lifted my butt and allowed the fullness of my hips and rear to contrast to the small waist. You do not need to fear it will smash your butt or be too tight on your thighs. I was nervous buying this after ordering same kind of shapewear of a different brand. I went by that company's measurements, my measurements and reviews and when I tried it on it wasn't just too small, it was like 2-3 sizes too small and had absolutely no give to it at all, even though it's supposed to considering material and according to tons of reviewers telling people to size down bc "it ran big" or "is super stretchy". Maybe the size was mislabeled but bc everything was wrong I decided to try this Yianna company next. This one is identical and also $15 cheaper too. I received it in mail today and it fits perfect, I possibly could've gotten away with sizing down one but it'd be a huge risk so it's up to you. I'd strongly suggest going with your correct size bc there's not a lot of stretch to it at all. Some reviews say it's very stretchy but it's not, at least not the 2 hook closure one. It's fairly comfortable and I'll be wearing under a very tight dress for a wedding in a few days so I'll update how comfortable after wearing for hours it is. Overall very happy I took a chance. Quality of garment seems very good and the zipper crotch it great too. Hope this helps UPDATE: definitely buy this!! It was super comfortable but more importantly breathable. I’m 5’7, 200lbs and I ordered a Large. I was pretty nervous after reading the reviews. I wasn’t sure if I should order 2 sizes up, 2 sizes down or somewhere in between. I ended up ordering one size down. Definitely go by your measurements not by weight. I’m very happy with my purchase and yes, it provides slightly more compression than my everyday shapewear. I’ve never tried on an authentic Colombian faja so I can’t compare. It was challenging to put on and only slightly uncomfortable to sit in. I like that it has both a hook and zipper closure. The zippered crotch is roomy enough to use the bathroom without having an accident. I have thunder thighs and was pleasantly surprised that the legs had a wide silicone band which kept them from cutting and creasing or rolling up. I had a couple abdominal surgeries and needed a support garment to help with swelling as I transition out of the surgical binders. This one is great. Some of them look a lot more supportive on the model bodies than they really are. The posterior has some va-va-voom I haven't gotten from others I've tried. There's some architectural contouring going on, there. The straps are nice and wide. The hooks hold well. The groin area has a very long zipper which opens for more comfort and accessibility than any of the others I've tried, including those with a gaping open area (also: those really pinch!) It's not super adjustable -- only two rows of hooks and not a ton of stretch -- but it's also very true-to-size. I am about 180lbs and 5'6" and usually wear a 14/16/XL. I ordered an L and an XL. The L was a bit tight, but the XL fit great. I'm hanging on to the L, though, because I'm still un-swelling. This is comfortable enough to sleep in. There are no wires or boning, and the little bit of lace is not itchy lace. The fabric is really soft, especially on the inside. Read more
