very simple to assemble, just took a long moment of thought to figure out what the illustrations were showing (don't pinch the wires in the base, make sure they go through the opening. Don't half-sink the allen wrench into the screw holes, assure it is all the way down into the hole before tightening. Duh didn't actually need to be told either. And I love the smoothness of this mechanism, the sturdiness of the table. It does indeed hold a lot of weight (not intended to move that same weight up and down so be aware of that!) It also does fit around my walking pad. For some reason, I thought that it would collaspe enough to lay flat and I could slide it under a bed, but of course it doesn't do that and that's my mistake. so I couldn't put it where I thought I could because it would always block my dresser drawers. The weight of this table does not lend itself to moving it around a lot. I cannot attest to the caster wheels because I didn't try to roll it on my carpet as I was unsure if I was keeping it and didn't want anything possibly caught up in the wheels. My other issue turned out to be that I could not actually work at the table while using the walking pad because of the bounce and my bifocals. Sincerely disappointed that I had to return this item because I love it and kept trying to figure out some other possible use for it. (1) Hands down the BEST assembly instructions ever and there were no words. Clear pictures that will be understood in any language (2) Whomever designed this needs a medal of honor. It took one tool and a few easy screws with properly aligned holes to assemble. Clean and efficient. It took maybe 12 minutes for me to assemble. For such a small foot print it is very stable even on carpet and pulled to the full height. (3) The pneumatic metal part is heavy and study with a metal bar horizontal for additional stability. (4) The wheels seem a bit flimsy to me, but I'm not going to be moving this much. That said they all LOCK in place. (5) The gift canvas bag was a very nice touch. That tells me customers are valued. I just got this item so haven't run it through it's paces. I was worried about it not being as tall as I wanted (I am 5' 7.5" and on a walking pad, but it was nice and tall!) I did buy a separate product to give my laptop more lift to get it closer to eye level, but I expected that before I bought this product so it was already here. It gets it at just the height I want. Everything is very stable. Easy to lift and lower. I am glad I sent with this non-electric automatic. It was well worth the money to avoid having to turn knobs and risk not tightening things enough. I love the price, ease of setup, and overall sturdiness of this treadmill. I bought it to use with my standing desk, and it fits the space perfectly. That said, I did notice that after using it more than once a day, it starts to give off a plastic-like smell when it heats up, which can quickly fill my small condo. I tried applying more of the included lubricant, but it didn’t fully resolve the issue. On the plus side, I really appreciate the auto shut-off feature after an hour. it’s a smart touch that encourages breaks and cooldowns. If it weren’t for the odor, this would easily be a 5/5. I was surprised at how easy this was to put together. It was delivered in a heavy, thin (2-3 inch) box and I put off assembling it for a while because I thought it would take a long time to do. It didn't take long at all and it is extremely sturdy! This product was designed so well, from the way the locks on the wheels work to how smooth it moves from up to down. Nice and stable. Just a heads-up—if your treadmill has upright posts, this desk may not fit over them, which could keep you from pulling it as close as you might want.
