A thick knit (I guess the popular "scuba" type) which is not cheap clingy and not wrinkly at all...great for travel! Fits true to the size chart. This is a basic dress that can be dressy or casual...yes, it could be worn with a jean jacket or a beaded dressy shrug. The v-shaped waistband ("basque waist") is lovely and flattering for someone like me with a belly. Fit and flare silhouette. The neckline, as you see, is high...possibly a teeny bit too high (uncomfortable) but because it's knit fabric there will be some "give".
