Purchased one years ago. Re-injured the shoulder. Same quality works the same. I just wash it in a lingerie washer bag so that the elastic doesn't destroy anything else and wash it with towels comes out great. Wouldn't suggest putting it in a dryer the neoprene might delaminate. You might look for one that has a different strap sometimes it ends up in my armpit rather than across my chest. But as in the picture that's a guy with a flat chest but it is in his armpit lol Read more

This is fantastic! I have had pain in my right shoulder since May. I have fibromyalgia, so I am no stranger to pain but this was so bad it actually felt like the pain was screaming in my ear all of the time. I bought this based on the reviews, price and simplicity. For the first time in months I feel like moving! It is lightweight and very simple to use. It keeps the area warm. I have been using a combination of over the counter anti-inflammatory medication, all brands of muscle relief creams, soaking in hot baths and a heating pad, with varying degrees of relief. When this came today I put it on immediately and right away felt relief...I don't know why, I don't care why, I finally have relief ! ! ! This is literally the BEST item I have purchased in a very long time. I feel so good I want to thank the company that makes this product and everyone who posted a review. Read more

This harness comes in three parts in clear cello wrap--no directions, no labeling other than product name and bar code. There is the harness itself, the shoulder strap with two round velcro "hook" pads, and an extender strap with one hook strip. For this reviewer, assembling and using this device became an IQ test. Hmm. OK, here is my modest effort at providing you quick directions. Feel free to expand on them or add more tips for effective use. First, I am using this on my left shoulder, rather than the right one pictured in the product listing. Lay the harness on your shoulder, with the taped-seam-side out resting on top of your shoulder to see how it fits when this process is completed.. This is important, as the velcro does not stick to the other side of the harness. Second, remove the harness and attach one of the round velcro pads of the shoulder strap to the rear side at an angle to travel across your back and under your right (opposite) arm. Now place this back on your shoulder. Third, wrap the tongue of the harness proper around under your arm and attach it loosely to the harness material on the other side. If your arm is too large, see below (EXTENDER) for extending the reach of the tongue. Bring the elastic shoulder strap around in front, and attach the other round pad to the top front of the harness (see product picture). That is how it will rest on your shoulder. Third, retrieve your hot or cold gel pack. Put your harness on, with the elastic strap attached only to the rear, and loosely wrapped around to the front, under your arm pit, but do not attach the front pad. Wrap the harness tongue around the arm. Now fold the top part of the harness back and slide your gel pad under the harness. You should be wearing a T shirt or similar so the gel pad does not come in contact with the skin. Do NOT wear harness with gel pad without clothing, as shown in picture. Fourth, reattach the velcro shoulder strap round pad to the front of the harness. You now have your gel pad in place for therapy while you go about your daily tasks or just rest and relax. The EXTENDER to this product is another elastic strap, capable of attaching any velcro hook surface to it, it also has one velcro hook surface. The function of this strap is a mystery out of the cello package, as it is not shown on any product photos here. A good use for this extra strap would be to extend the reach of the tongue portion of the harness itself which wraps under and around the arm. You do not want the harness tongue wrapped tightly under your arm, as it will cut off the circulation of the arm. That is counter-productive to the purpose of applying heat or cold to the sore shoulder. You want to maintain good circulation during use of this harness for maximum benefit. Another potential use would be to extend the cross chest elastic strap for larger chest people. I am a size 38 chest and do not need an extender, but can imagine those larger than size 40 or 42 might. Following these directions, you should have secured a gel pack to your shoulder, a tough area to have thermal compresses stay in place. Yes, it works after you fiddle with it for several minutes to get it just right without being too tight. Although it seems as if a gel pack should be included, it is not. You should obtain a 6 x 10 inch gel pack to slip under the harness while installed on your shoulder. I recommend two, so you always have one in the freezer or keep one for heating in the microwave and the other for chilling in the freezer. Other than the lack of directions and identification of uses for the extra strap which I called the "extender," this product is well made from made-made materials. It should last a long while, years in my case for home use. If you are a really large person, with thick shoulders and arms, this harness might be too small for your purposes. Read more

Product comes with no instructions what so ever. It is fairly well made BUT it has a very strong - toxic - chemical smell to it. I tried to wash it but the smell would not go away. Functionally it works fine - if - you can stand breathing in its toxic odor. You can literally smell it from across the room. I had to remove it for over night usage because the smell was starting to make my eyes water (no joke). There are no labels on it, but judging by the price and the smell I'd be surprised if it wasn't made in china. I will order a different one to use because I'm worried about what i'm breathing in with this one. Read more

This product does the job but the elastic strap quickly "rolls up" into an uncomfortable cord under your arm. Common sense told me this would happen but I purchased it anyhow because I was running out of options. I've worn it frequently for as long as 12 hours simply because the relief it provides greatly exceeds the discomfort that it creates. Read more

Product is marked as a large but it's very small and strap rides up under your arm within seconds. You spend the day constantly pulling it down which hurts your surgical site in shoulder. I'm smaller in frame and this was to tight even with it at the farest you could adjust it. You'll need to wash it a couple time to get the extremely strong chemical odor out of it before wearing. Almost resembles the smell of burning rubber?? It was a waste of money. Even my PT said it wasn't worth wearing and sized wrong. Read more

This thing is amazing for it's price. It arrived yesterday. I soaked it in the soap and water right away and then washed it to get rid of the smell. The dried it in the dryer and wore it right away. After a long time I didn't wake up with pain from the stiff shoulder and I slept well. I wore it the whole day at work as well. It's very helpful. Thanks to Amazon for the quick shipment!!!! I understand the other female reviewer's concern that it's not convenient for women's chest. I thought about it before ordering and was prepared for some inconvenience. The relief is greater than the inconvenience. Read more
