The Yoto Mini (2024 Edition) is hands-down one of the best purchases I’ve made for my kids. It’s compact, durable, and incredibly easy for little ones to use independently. The physical audio cards are a genius idea—my kids love popping them in and exploring stories, music, and educational content without needing a screen. The sound quality is surprisingly good for such a small device, and the 14-hour battery life means it lasts through long car rides or quiet afternoons at home. I also appreciate the thoughtful features like the pixel display, headphone jack, and the OK-to-wake clock. It’s clear this was designed with both kids and parents in mind. At around $99, it’s a solid investment. You’re not just buying a speaker—you’re getting a whole ecosystem of content that grows with your child. The included “Make Your Own” card adds even more value, letting us personalize the experience with our own recordings. If you're looking for a screen-free, engaging, and educational device for your child, the Yoto Mini is worth every penny! Read more

This is a great product for younger kids who love listening to stories or music. The Yoto Mini is extremely durable and so are the cards. With only a couple buttons it's easy for young ones to use and worth the cost. It's used everyday around the house but also for long roadtrips. It can be used with our without headphones. Read more

I bought the Yoto Mini for my 2.5-year-old daughter after another mom recommended it, and I can honestly say it has exceeded every expectation. This little device has become one of the most loved items in our home. The size is perfect for toddlers—small, sturdy, and easy for her to carry around independently. She figured out how to use it almost immediately, which has been incredibly empowering for her. Watching a toddler confidently choose a card, pop it in, and listen to a story or music on her own is pure magic. What I love most is that the content is engaging without being overstimulating. No screens, no ads, no frantic visuals—just high-quality stories, songs, and learning content that genuinely hold her attention. It’s become part of our daily rhythm: quiet playtime, car rides, winding down before bed. It even buys me those precious few uninterrupted minutes every parent dreams of. The audio quality is excellent, the battery life is solid, and the content library is thoughtful and age-appropriate. I also appreciate that it grows with your child—this doesn’t feel like a toy she’ll outgrow in a few months. In short, the Yoto Mini is one of those rare purchases that makes you think, Why didn’t we get this sooner? Huge thanks to the mom who recommended it—I will absolutely be paying it forward and recommending it to every parent of young kids I know. Read more

My child will not put this down! They love this toy and it has met and exceeded all expectations. They love the agency they have to select stories, change volume, and listen on headphones or not. My child is five and it's very simple for them to use the toy. They rarely need help from us, usually just to plug it in to charge. The device comes with more features than I initially expected as well, such as the free content like soundscapes and radio. I also love the write your own card feature! I will be recommending this to every parent I know. 100 percent worth the money. Read more

We got the Yoto for my toddler for Christmas (2y) and they LOVE it! she very quickly understood the controls as they are simple to use. There are SO many cards you can buy to use with it I know she’ll get years of use out of it. The sound quality is good, and the volume quality and variability too. I got a little silicone case to go around it just for added protection. It’s a decent amount of money for a pretty small physical object but the gift of screen free audio books in a kid friendly package is priceless! Read more

I bought 2 of these for my 5 & 7 year olds. They’re the best thing since sliced bread!! I love that you can add more than one to an account so they a share stories and music. They love bopping around with their mini yotos. The Yoto has fun little features like timers for brushing teeth and tidying up. Also podcasts for kids. You can also make your own Yoto card. It reminds me of when I used to mis my own tapes or burn my own cds. It’s really so cute and I love that it doesn’t have a screen. Read more

We got these for our 2 kids (22m & 4) both LOVE them! My almost 2 year old can easily change the cards out and figured out how to use it the first day with no issues. My 4 year old has sat and listened to stories for hours. I love that I can control everything from my phone and how many features it has. It has been tossed around and seems very durable. Well worth the price! If you’re debating on this or the tonies like I was, GET THE YOTO!! Read more
