I have quite a few expensive gowns that I've been storing in muslin covers but wanted something a bit more durable to prevent any long-term damage to the more delicate beading and tulle. This bag is the ideal length & the girth along the bottom helps with any garments that are particularly long. It's a very basic garment bag made of thin polyester so I wouldn't use it for travel protection or for any garments that you'll frequently be accessing since it will likely break down under heavy use. I will start by saying I am using this bag for long term storage of cosplay wings that have a 12 foot wing span. The wings are made from foam and I was afraid having them folded into a storage container for a long period of time would ruin them so I had the idea that maybe a clothing bag could help and this is the largest size bag I was able to find. It seems it was made for large, long, bulky dresses, which is perfect for the wings as they are very bulky in the middle where they have a plate for the back rest, and each wing is 6 ft long. I ended up putting the wings upside down in the bag since the largest width is more so the bottom of the bag (makes sense for ball gowns and wedding dresses!). A hanger fit perfectly through the provided hole on top to hang it with, which is also reinforced to hold the weight. I appreciate the tag holder attached to the top, which is a great addition if you have a rental and need to keep up with the paperwork! The material of the bag and zipper is good and I feel confident it will protect the wings inside from dirt and dust. The disco ball graphics are also fun and makes the bag nicer to look at. Got this for a wedding dress with long train, and a cathedral length veil. They both fit in this very well because the bag expands nicely to accommodate them. We will be using this garment bag to transport the dress to the wedding venue before the wedding, and then to store the dress and veil after the wedding. The stitching is well done with strong thread, with no skipped stitches even in the thicker seams, and no hanging threads. So this bag should hold up and protect the dress and veil for many years to come. The bag comes tightly folded and because the material is so thick, when you unpack it, there are a lot of deep creases in it where it was folded. You might want to hang the bag for a couple of days in a warmish room to allow the folds to straighten out before putting your dress and/or veil into it, just to be sure the bag's folds and kinks don't cause wrinkles in the dress or veil. This bag is perfect for storing my old prom dresses- it's extra long, has sides that expand on the bottom for poofy dresses, 2-way zippers, and has a nice little accessories pouch on the front.
