This collection contains over 700 episodes and is definitely best thing money can buy. I had purchased other classic radio CDs like "suspense", which only contain 20 episodes for twice the money. The recording, however, not very good on all episodes, some of them are barely audible (I say about 15% of them). I just simply skip those and go on to the next story. I mostly like Bob Bailey's stories anyway and they are all crystal clear. The "fuzzy" ones are mainly from other earlier artists where recording technologies were not so advance. The only drawback is this CD does not play in my car's system. All files are in mp3 format so I simply load them into my ipod and play it from there in my car. I highly recommend this CD. Read more

I don't have any way of playing disc media in my truck, but it was easy enough to just copy these to a flash drive. For easier navigation, I created a folder for every year and dragged the episodes into their year's folders. This collection is truly incredible. The earlier episodes have a little hiss and scratches, but that kind of adds to the allure. The early years are 30-minute episodes. I guess the program only aired once a week. Some of those early episodes are missing from this collection, but I think it's remarkable how complete the collection actually is. In later years, the program played nightly (5x/week). Those 15-minute segments combined into a longer 75 minute episode, which led to richer plots and character development. One other interesting difference between the early programs and the later ones is that the earlier ones were performed live, while the later ones (nightly) were "transcribed" (or recorded) so they could be distributed to larger markets. The live episodes were kind of rough, since they couldn't stop and re-do the take. Read more

Bob Bailey was the BEST Johnny Dollar of the group of actors that portrayed that character. These recordings are great. Well written scripts, surperb acting. Quality product. DVD 1 plays just fine, however DVD 2 will not play any of the files after file number 776, all files up to and including 776 play just fine. A week ago, an email requesting the non-playing files or a replacement DVD 2 that will play the files was sent, there has been no reply to the email. Very disappointing!! Too bad the company has such poor customer satisfaction relations. The email could have been at least acknowledged, physical address, order number, email address, and phone number was included in the email. They have a good product, support is terrible however. Added : First email never reached company for some reason unknow to me. Second email reached company and they promptly replaced the defective disk. Could not be more pleased with their prompt action. They also included another of my favorite radio programs, "Broadway Is My Beat", could not be happier with their response. OnesMedia.com sent the 2 disk set right away. Ordering was easy, they went out of their way to describe that the files were MP3 and would not just play in a CD player. I downloaded all files to my computer and onto a music player. Everything worked perfectly! They even sent an additional set of radio shows as an unexpected bonus "thank you" for first order. I highly recommend. & Johnny Dollar rocks. Be aware that many of the early shows were 5 part series. so don't go by the episode # just pick the first of similar titles and the entire story plays out.
