I was hesitant at first after seeing a review saying the packets were barely filled, but after trying it myself, the serving size makes sense. Each stick is about 1.5g, which is the standard amount for one matcha drink. When you pour it out, it doesn't look like much because matcha is very light and fluffy, but once whisked with hot water, it makes a smooth, well-balanced cup. See my photo showing the full contents of one stick so others can see what a normal serving actually looks like. As someone new to matcha, especially decaf, this felt like a good, gentle starting point. Clean / quality taste, easy to drink, and perfect in the afternoons when I want to limit my caffeine intake. I didn't think decaf matcha could taste this good. Smooth, vibrant flavor you expect from high quality matcha, without the jitters or crash. The color isn't as bright as traditional matcha, but my understanding is that its from the dual-decaf process. The texture is silky, and there is absolutely none of the bitterness I have experienced with other non-organic decaf options. It whisks nicely in both hot and cold water and works just as well for lattes as it does on its own. I love that I can enjoy it later in the day and still get the ritual, flavor, and calm focus without caffeine. You can tell this is carefully sourced and thoughtfully produced. If you have ever been disappointed by decaf green teas, this will completely change your mind. My new go-to! Read more

I am blown away by this tea. The taste is incredibly smooth, clean, and rich with zero bitterness, which is something I’ve struggled with for years when it comes to matcha. Most matchas I’ve tried are either harsh, grassy, or leave that sharp bitter aftertaste… not this one. It is hard to find a high-quality, ORGANIC decaf matcha, and this one absolutely nails it. You still get the full matcha flavor and creaminess without the jitters or caffeine crash. It’s comforting, grounding, and honestly feels like such a treat. It blends beautifully, tastes amazing on its own or as a latte, and feels so clean and nourishing. If you’ve been searching for a smooth, non-bitter, organic decaf matcha this is it. I won’t be buying any other brand. Highly recommend! Read more

Total rip off! There is a small sprinkle of the powder in the individual packets. Returning. My fingernails show how much powder is in here. It’s that tiny area at the bottom!!!! Read more

I wanted to like matcha and it's a healthier alternative. The quality seems great, being ceremonial grade A and rich in EGCG, but honestly, matcha still hasn't become my go-to drink. I tried several different matcha powders, including this one, but I couldn't quite get on board with the taste. If you're already a fan of matcha, this might work well for you, but for me, it just didn't click. It might just be a personal preference. Read more

I recently tried the Yu Tea Organic Decaf Matcha—those single-serve sticks are clutch. One scoop, a splash of warm water, a quick whisk or foam, and it’s smooth, bright green, and way better than I expected from a decaf powder. It’s got that ceremonial-grade richness—I noticed the umami notes and mellow sweetness. Plus, I love that it’s packed with antioxidants and L‑theanine, so I feel focused without the caffeine crash. Zero jittery vibes here. Just calm alertness. Prep’s a breeze, the packaging is sleek, and it’s perfect on-the-go or mid-afternoon chill. For something organic, decaf, and clean, this matcha is a solid daily pick. Read more

I’m definitely more of a coffee kind of guy than a tea drinker. But I did grow up in Australia, where British tea service is still part of the culture, so know when I’m drinking a quality tea. And while I do love green tea, this is the first time I’ve tried Matcha. Neither the experience nor the tea left a good taste in my mouth. With the tea, that’s literal. I’m not sure if this is the case for all matcha, but despite stirring vigorously, it left this nasty undissolved powder in my mouth. And it stayed in my throat for quite a long time. I also tried making a ‘matcha latte’ by using milk and sugar, which did help improve the taste, but that did nothing to help the undissolved powder. And the price! My gosh, this is a pretty small bag of matcha. How on earth is this tea worth $83.99 (at the time of this writing)? After placing an order, do they fly it first class from Japan? I ordered the pouch, which is supposed to provide 50 servings, but honestly I hardly have much left after 5 cups. To sum up, while it does taste like Japanese green tea, in my opinion, the undissolved powder issue and price tag do not offer a great overall value. Read more
