I purchased these dried beans and started cooking a batch the day they arrived. I soaked them overnight, and cooked them about 25 minutes, they turned out soft but not mushy, retained their color and shape, taste about like a pinto bean, but my research indicates this is one of the most nutritious beans, so why purchase a lesser bean? The bag is sturdy and should keep the beans quite fresh. Fresh, easy to cook, good taste, excellent nutrition, good color and texture. The beans themselves are tiny, about 1/3 the size of a pinto bean. I will definitely purchase these again. Read more
