Before I had this holder, I had to just set the heat gun down after using it and try to make sure the metal tip didn't touch anything. That was difficult if my workbench was full of stuff. Having a heat gun holder next to my workbench is very convenient and a lot safer, since the heatgun also won't fall off and land on anything flammable. I've burned myself so many times on heat guns that it I needed to find a long term solution to make sure I had a spot to store the heat gun mid-project and to let it cool down before completely putting it away. I've had this for a week and had 0 burns. So far so good (fingers crossed).
