I got this for my birthday dress in a size XL. And just to help anyone out there reading this make a more informed decision, I am 5'4 and 200 lbs, and usually wear an XL in tops and a 17/18 in jeans. So, this is a cute, basic black belt. Nothing flashy. Very easy to put on and take off. Not too thin or too wide, goes with anything. It fit well, wasn't tight at all, nor hard to clasp at all. I didn't have to struggle whatsoever to get together, nor stretch it to go around my waist. It just clasped together perfectly. However, that being said, about two times during the 4 hours I wore this, it came unbuckled for reasons unknown. I wasn't bending over or sitting down at any of these times, nor dancing or twisting or anything like that. Oddly enough, it came undone both times just standing. I mean, no harm no foul, it wasn't one of those embarrassing moments where my skirt fell down in front of everyone, or anything skin revealing lol. It just simply came unclasped twice, and the only one who noticed was me, and I was with family at home, not out in public or anything. Would I wear it again? Probably not. I bought it last minute for my dress, it was cheap, and arrived quickly. No complaints about that. It did it's job by classing up my dress, and that's that. Would I recommend? A good product that fits my waist. I have a small waist (think 0/00 pants), so finding one that would fit (since it's one size) was a little worrisome. This served the function for a long, tunic-length blouse that didn't have much shape around the waist and just looked rather odd for what I wanted without something cinching it. It took a little fidgeting to find where it sat best on my waist for the top to flow correctly, but it worked out. The buckle feels secure in my opinion and is a solid, basic and functional belt if you're looking for something to give your shirt or dress shape (or even just accessorize).
