I ordered this skirt in my standard size - XL - which remains a good fit in every other item of clothing I’ve tried on lately. But this skirt? It fit like a M at best. The waist is elastic with a zipper, but there’s not a lot of give to the elastic band so it’s mostly a very fitted skirt. Hideous muffin-top and my hips and waist, had to hike it all the way up to my ribcage before that went away. Cute enough I suppose but the sizing is a disaster. This skirt is not only beautiful, it's well made, fits well and the material is soft and comfortable and thicker for winter. This with a pair of tights, boots and long sleeve top tucked in and you are immediately trendy and dressed for fall! I'm actually really impressed by the fit - I'm 5'2", 110 lbs, I went by the measurements given and got a medium and it fits me perfectly - I even like the length - it hits me just above the knees which is great for a fall/winter skirt. Its rare that skirts fit me well esp length wise being that everything seems to be made to tall supermodels these days, but this is spot on. I would say the fit it true to size and true to the measurements for the fit the seller provides. I got the green and white skirt and it's just perfect for this time of year and the Christmas holidays. I plan to wear a red body suit top with this and it will be perfect for the office and for bringing in some festive holiday cheer. Of course the plaid lends to the winter feeling of this skirt but its the thick soft flannel type material that really makes this a comfortable and great find for the colder months. I canot wait to wear this out and I know I'll get many compliments. As far as clothes on Amazon go, this is one of my best finds yet in terms of quality, sizing/fit, value and trendines. This skirt is a trendy look for the winter. I love the length and the color scheme. The material is a thick flannel material but it’s comfortable and doesn’t wrinkle easily. My complaint is the zipper. I always struggle with these so if you have nails be ready. It is also not a stretchy enough skirt that you can get on without unzipping. I tried. I failed. Read more
