I am disabled and have diabetic neuropathy in my feet and legs. Due to poor circulation, they stay ice cold at all times. These long socks are a dream! Nicely thick, but not too thick, very nice, tight knit, and the grippy stuff at the thigh works at holding them up well. I found a pair of elastic/adjustable sleeve garters here on Amazon, and I wear them just below my knees. Nothing is too tight. In fact, my doctor saw them while examining my feet and legs and liked the combination so much, he wanted to know where I got them and what I paid, so he could recommend them to his other patients. Nice, huh? Nice, warm, long socks, better than any knee-high, soft, good grip at the thigh, and with the garters, they stay in place all day long. I bought 2 pairs to begin with and I'll be buying more black and navy. Sadly, the white ones don't have the grip things and they're a lot thinner too. Get the black. You'll be sooooo happy with them. Great set of socks. They're thin enough to fit into a shoe or boot, but still warm enough. They're not too bulky which is what I love. I am very sensative to touch...seams or rough material irritate me...these are soft and comfortable. I have wide, 19 inch calf...they fit well but I have to fold under my knee my thighs are too thick. They stay up and keep my legs warm. Read more
