Very nice, but needs to be sanitized constantly
I live in an old apartment with no dishwasher. In and of itself, this is a perfect piece for the intended purpose - to cover a slim stretch of formica counter between my sink and stove, where I often put items on their way to the dishtub. But of course it collects every bit of food, and because of the grooves, is harder to clean than the actual counter space. I end up throwing it in the dishtub after I've finished washing dishes, then sanitizing with hydrogen peroxide. So it's kinda useless, for my purposes, except to cover the old, ugly formica.
