Amazing quality / Professional grade!
The media could not be loaded. Of all the items I ever bought on Amazon over the years, this one made me want to share my thoughts and views on this product through a few pics and video for the very first time ever. Although the posting of this product has more than enough info for the consumer to read about along with the mostly positive reviews, I felt another honest to goodness personal review with real un-retouched pics and video was in order. Since there's no video of this item anywhere on the posting from the manufacturer or any consumer, this will be the first one and I hope it will help people make a decision on whether to buy this item. The moment I held the tripod in my hand as I pulled it out of the box I felt the weight and sturdiness. There's not one bit of plastic on this thing except for the non-skid rubber feet, which are impressive as well. The one thing that stands out is the professional grade build quality. It is constructed beautifully. As a product designer, I'm very aware of features such as material, construction quality and overall design of most products I purchase. Sometimes I buy items that are good and so-so and then sometimes I'm lucky with something like this little gem. I must say that I'm completely impressed of what you get for the price. Bravo to the manufacturer for designing this mini masterpiece of a tripod for a great price. I can't speak for the other products that the manufacturer produces since this is the first time I've purchased one of their items, but they surely got it right on this one. It is what it is and does what it does. Simplicity is beauty. I took a few pics to illustrate it in various positions. Open and closed. Next to a dollar bill to show the scale. It's pretty much the length of US currency and is completely portable. I held it in my hand to show that scale as well. In the closed position, the legs are 1.25" in diameter. It fits comfortably in your hand like holding a bicycle handle grip. Of course hands come in different sizes, but overall it's a very comfortable fit. The short video shows the basic functions of the tripod with an old Casio camera. Everything functions quite well. The ball socket, 1/4" screw mount and legs operate smoothly are robust and sturdy. The tripod is stable and can hold up much heavier cameras since it's built like a tank! I believe that most of material is heavy grade aluminum, but not totally sure. In conclusion, this tripod is something special. If treated with care and not abused it seems like it will last for decades or outlive me...lol. It's two thumbs up and a solid buy! Read more
