The color is a pure white with no creaminess to it. The fabric is soft. It works well under both cardigans and crewneck sweaters. I plan to also wear it alone. It is lightweight but not see through. It works with wool sweaters that I find to be itchy. I washed it on delicate and hung to dry. It has some wrinkles that will need to be steamed out.
