I love the Sarasa line of pens, and while they have the vintage colors in both the grand and regular clip versions, I adore the weight and feel of the grand. It is completely with the money, and I have never had them smear on me. I love the colors, the weight, and it feels incredibly smooth. I bought this pen after learning about the Zebra Sarasa Grand line. I have the regular redish/pinkish pen that's 0.7mm ink, but bought this one because of the red and gold color scheme, which are both part of my preferred color scheme. I also liked this pen because of the dark red ink option provided, unlike other bright, correctional red pens that draw too much attention to themselves. This red pen is high quality, a nice weight, professional, feels luxury, and even includes a clip. I really like that it's 0.5mm as well, providing an easier time writing when dealing with the weight of the pen and ink thickness. I already ordered refills for the red/black ink, which have worked flawlessly and were easy to come by. I've gotten many compliments on both the pen look itself and others that have asked to use it. If I needed a luxury pen for work/school/social settings, the Sarasa Grand is definitely my go-to because they feel high quality, are durable, provide great strokes when writing, and are affordable. If I need other colors (perhaps, a blue) in the future, I will definitely be coming back to the Sarasa Grand/Sarasa Grand Vintage lines! Read more

I did an absurd amount of research before deciding this was the pen I wanted. I couldn’t have been more pleased - it was time well spent! This pen has a wonderful hand feel, weight, and the ink color was a pleasant surprise. I somehow missed that the ink color matched the barrel perfectly. If I could change anything about the pen, I wish it was offered in a needle tip. Obviously you can refill with a needle tip as long as you don’t mind a different color ink. Read more

The Sarasa Grand is a very stylish pen - the picture make it look like the surface is rough, but it is smooth with a matte painted finish instead of the glossy you typically see in metal pen. I particularly like the understated Dark Gray version, but all of the available colors look very nice. This pen does have one negative and one FYI. The negative is the clip - it sticks up a bit and gets in the way of the button, and may become annoying, esp. if you have a habit of clicking the pen a lot. The FYI is the ink - the included ink matches the barrel color, so in my case the Sarasa JF (Gel) ink was gray, not black. This is OK if your intention is buying a colored ink, but otherwise make sure you have a compatible Sarasa refill in color you want - I used Sarasa MJF (Mark On) 0.5mm black ink. Read more

This is just one of about 8 different Zebra Sarasa Grand Vintage pens I purchased. I write a lot in my work. These pens are truly the best on the market and affordable too. I purchased a number of refills, even though I believe I could probably buy them locally. I recommend these pens to you- the general writing public - Try one- you will understand my excitement wth such a smooth writing instrument. Many of these vintage pens come wth fine, or medium. I don’t know where I bought my first one of these. Office Depot, probably. But it turned out to be such a nicely-balance, attractive, and pleasant writer that I decided to order this from Amazon, in my school’s color. I am so pleased that I ordered these for everyone in m office as a Christmas gift. They are nice heavy brass pens, and the gel ink is available in a wide variety of colors!
