I bought these Zelda Matilda mittens for my toddler, and they’ve been great for cold days. They’re nice and warm with the Thinsulate lining, and her hands come back in from outside still toasty instead of freezing. They also do a good job keeping snow and slush out — no soaked fingers so far. What I really like is that they stay on better than most mittens we’ve tried. The long cuff and strap help keep them in place, even when she’s climbing or playing in the snow. The only downside is that they can be a bit tricky to get on if your child is squirmy, since the cuff is snug. Once they’re on, though, they’re perfect. Perfect! Nothing is wrong with these and I rarely say that on a review. They go high up the forearm, which helps keep them in place and keep snow out, they have a great Velcro strap to make sure snug at wrist, and they definitely keep my little girl’s hands dry and warm in snow and ice. She is 3 now and is still wearing the size 1-2 year ones that she wore last year (but she is little). Oh and they wash well. Just a tip, put them on over the underlayer, THEN put the big warm jacket over the gloves. I’m going to get her the bigger size for next year because she will still likely be too small handed to do gloves. Read more
