I'm a pretty big fan of this item. I have meditated for years and usually use my buckwheat filled soft cushion. After trying this to my home I'm so happy to have got it. Both the seat and base has solid construction and a good balance of solid support but also yielding and comfortable. As my other cushion is soft and big, I wondered how comfortable this would be as the seat is thin. However it was the perfect height to keep my spine aligned without effort. This meant that my meditation wasn't distracted by being concerned about my spine and comfort. I love that it has a base, so my ankles aren't on the floor-which is what occurs with my old cushion. It comes with a little blanket that is soft to the touch and a carrying bag for taking it with you or storing it to keep it clean and safe. It appears well made and it'll last for years to come. It folds away neatly. It has also helped make me meditate more as now I'm excited to sit in comfort and peace and have a designated spot that I can set up in any room. Having a devoted item for your practice is a nice ritual to get ready for the session. purchasing an item that feeds into your peace, happiness and health is a worthy investment. I'm glad to have got it! Read more

Beautiful mat and cushion I wish it wasn’t closer to hard than firm. I was not able to sit longer than 30 minutes without experiencing very uncomfortable nerve pain. Read more

Yes, it’s a little hard, but I like the cushion to be firm. It’s the perfect size and easy to fold up and tuck away. And the little Blankey they give you, I use to cover the bottom cushion when I’m wearing shorts & it’s soft and cozy. Wish I had bought this sooner. Read more

The mat and bolster are both comfortable. The carrying case, however, is a different matter and the reason I can’t give it more stars. The first time i used the bad one handle ripped off. There is nothing in the bag other than the mat and the bolster. I figured ok. Things happen. 4 days later i went to use the bag again and the other handle ripped off. The carrying bag us crap. This is a shame because it makes the mat and bolster a lot more difficult to carry around to my classes. I’m very disappointed because this was one of the main reasons I got it. Read more

I do not meditate. If you want to know how this tush cush enhances your journey to zenful bliss you should scroll away now. I don't meditate but I do sit on the floor when I eat, which was perfectly fine until I replaced carpets with hardwood. Very. Hard. Wood. So, I use these to sit on a hard floor to eat at a coffee table. This has been a family tradition but upon discussion with outsiders I have been informed this is not a universal practice. Again, scroll at will. Nonetheless, a common question is "why not just use a pillow?" Fair enough. For folks of my vintage, pillows are too soft and this cushion set is firm without being excessively so. It also doesn't act as a booster seat, at least not as much as the average pillow. It's large enough to keep bony parts off the hardwood and small enough to fit under the coffee table, knees and all. The little wedgie at the back helps me sit upright which is probably the biggest health benefit I get from these. Read more

My company's gym has some virtual events including yoga and mindfulness classes, and one time I tried to do the yoga on my living room floor with no cushioning. It did not go well. With this Zenbless 23.6" kit, I have cushions for kneeling or stretching that are easy to stash when I can no longer take up the entire living room. The non-woven fabric bag with a snap contains the folding square "Zabuton" mat and the smaller angled "Zafu" pillow. They are both fairly firm, Not firm like a treadmill mat, and much software than a hardwood floor, but if you're thinking "pillow" in the sense of a comfy bed pillow, you won't get that. However, it's not hard on my knees (maybe the only thing on earth that isn't?) and it keeps you balanced and off the floor. The soft fuzzy blanket is a nice touch. I probably should have reviewed the size suggestions, but for a lot of what I do, the smaller one (31") is convenient, and stashes nicely under my bed when not in use. If I were buying again, I'd probably get the largest size. This is not a criticism of the product, just of my own decision. Note about the pictures: First one has a half litre water bottle for scale. In the pic of both pieces, the square mat is folded. Read more

Very compact and comfy. Used at a one day retreat and worked well. The little fleece blanket came in handy in the chilly room. Read more
