These are so wonderful. Size is on the small side so if you have a larger head, they will be too tight. I love the style and the bling was just right. The red is a bit brighter than in the photo but not glaringly bright, so I am okay with that. I've always love cat-eye sunglasses. There's a Perry Mason episode where he's talking to a secretary and she's wearing the most awesome cat-eye glasses. Black, plain frames, but just so classically right. After reading some of the reviews, I still wanted to give them a try. First, these were well packed and shipped promptly. Second, after trying them on, I found that these were very sturdy and well made. They fit my face very well and comfortably. They guarded my eyes from the sun very well with out being too dark. I have blue eyes and they are Very sensitive to sunlight and bright lights. They did Very well with shading my eyes. For the price, I was surprised how sturdy and well made they are. You expect this from the High Dollar Sun Glasses and these could give them a real run for their money!! For those that say these are only good for Costume, REALLY?!?! I think NOT!! These are wonderful for Every Day Use. They look and feel classy. I can only say that you will have to give these a try and you might be pleasantly surprised. Having a rounder, fuller face, I very much appreciate the size and shape of these sunglasses. They have a relaxed, chic look about them at a very minimal cost. I purchased the brown fade and find the ombre color effect to be more sophisticated than the solid ones. Take a look at the dimensions and compare them to a pair that you have. This will help your get an idea of what they would look like on your face. The lenses are not polar, and on the dark side, but this doesn’t diminish your vision at all. I thought the crystals on the front would bother me. I gravitate more towards natural, relaxed style than “in-your-face" glamor. On the brown pair the crystals are not overwhelming — an accent of sorts, that doesn’t pull your distraction away from the great vintage shape. I definitely would not recommend purchasing these and placing prescription lenses in them. I doubt any reputable optician would even attempt it. They are, after all, thin plastic. I purchased a pair of groovy bamboo glasses on Amazon, and while I enjoy their style, too, the problem with those is that the logo was placed on the temples. These glasses don't have any makers marks on them -- for better or worse. They arrive in a great micro-fleece cinch bag. Perfect for preventing scratching while on the go. Keep in mind the price is $10 - and without spending big bucks the exact look I was hoping to receive and try out. The size and dimension are exactly as stated in the product description and exactly the size and dimension I wanted (not over-sized and expensive like a pair I returned). The lens do appear rather dark in the photo (they are) but vision is actually crystal-clear - and they look great on an average size face (think 1954's "Imitation of Life" with black instead of blue lens). I don't even mind the somewhat glittery crystal accents in the cat eye corners although I usually prefer unembellished objects near my face (the crystals are not glittery or shameless attention-getters). If you prefer designer quality for your $10 bucks - you'll need to look elsewhere because such is neither stated nor implied with these. The test I often use when buying merchandise sight unseen is - would I purchase the same product of like quality and price if I saw it in a retail store? The answer in this case is a relieved "Yes!" - I've wanted a pair of Cat Eye sunglasses for months now but haven't seen anything close to these in retail stores at anywhere near this price. A very very trendy style - yes (if you don't count the fashion craze of the '50's & '60's) - and definitely appealingly cute and positively perfect for a summer's fun - which is really about all one can expect from a $10 pair of sunglasses right? This is the 3rd or 4th pair of sunglasses I've ordered from this brand. ever one I have is well made, fits well and is a great style. I love the vintage look, and the details of an outfit (like your sunglasses, purse and shoes are what give that classy vibe, in my opinion.) I have some plain black round ones from this brand that I wear constantly. these cat eye ones are my newest and they fit great, I love the small rhinestone details and cateye shape of these.
