This sweater dress is comfortable and warm... it's perfect for chilly days! The material is thick, stretchy, and feels wonderfully soft. It fits me nicely and as expected. The shape of the hips is designed to fit curves which is a neat feature. The reason I'm dropping a star is because the fur trim at the neckline is kind of wonky. It's removable which is a fantastic option... there are buttons and elastic loops that hold the trim on. The thing is that the trim wiggles and shows the neckline of the dress itself which I don't care for. The images for this dress feel deceptive. On the one hand, this is a comfortable dress. I actually like the look of it, I feel like if you've got a winter formal type event this would be a perfect dress ... assuming that you are inside and it's going to be warm. If you're like me, you might look at the photos and assume the fuzz at the top and the collars implies there's a fuzzy soft material lining the inside keeping you nice and toasty. And uh. Nope. They are stitched on the top and the cuffs. They're not even super sewn in, there's maybe a handful of short strings connecting the fuzzy parts to the collar and the cuffs. If you just want the STYLE of the "super warm dress" this has it, but it's disappointing that it's not properly attached. That said, I came back and added a star back so it's now four stars. I spent a day wearing it and it's honestly a genuinely comfortable dress, and the attachments at least are attached by buttons so they can be removed for easy cleaning of the main dress which. Ok. The off-shoulder look with the fur trimming around the neckline and at the wrists makes for a striking outfit. This is for when you want to be noticed. The thin vertical stripes of the material and the length of the dress make me look tall and skinny, which I like. The dress is narrow but a side slit that comes to mid-thigh makes it easy to walk in. This dress is warm, but not unreasonably so. It would be reasonable to wear indoors with wintertime thermostat settings, and could be worn outside in the cold. The fur at the shoulder and wrists is buttoned on, so it is easy to remove while you wash the dress itself. In this dress I don't look anywhere near as good as the model who posed for the photos in the product description, but I do look good, and the fur trim really makes the off-shoulder look seem elegant and classy.
