when I opened the package I thought it was going to be just oo much material for a vest, but it was not, it was just the perfectsizw Its qualified as a summer suit vest but the only thing that makes it summery IMHO is that it is sleeveless. Its a thick material rayon and polyester with a bit of stretch so its not uncomfortable, and it also has a tie in the back so you can snug it up if necessary. The buttons, although there are only three of them, are fully functional, not just decorative But they are also VERY decorative, jazzing up an otherwise basic piece. I'm not sure it will fit everyone the way that it fits me, but for what ever reason it looked the best one me with only the center button closed. I left the top and the bottom open, the top corners folded in (it was not scandalously revealing) and I really liked the look paired with barrel jeans.. I freely admit, I took a chance ordering this cute vest as the size chart indicated the smallest size available (Small) would be too big for my frame. Alas, the sizing chart is accurate, which means this top is too big for me, even with the tie in the back yanked to its absolute smallest setting. And the armholes gape a bit since the top circumference is just too big for me (I'm a size 32B bust). I selected the white, and the color is true, soft white, creating a nice contrast with the three shiny gold front buttons. This top is fully lined and the material feels cool to the touch and almost silky in its smoothness. The cutaway design on the bottom portion of this vest is a total win, as it creates a flattering angle that emphasizes hourglass figures. I don't love the high boatneck neckline but its remedied by leaving the top button of the vest open and folded to create a v-shaped neckline.
