Around here it gets dark pretty early and off-leash times at the park fall well outside daylight hours. This is exactly what I was looking for to take with me and the pup to play fetch after the sun has gone down. These are small - the size of small KONG tennis balls - perfect for my 7-lb maltipoo. Basically, you throw the thing and it lights up from the motion - usually when it hits the ground, and stays on for 30 seconds or so unless it is jiggled again. It's bouncy rubber across half the ball and translucent plastic on the other, so the red and blue flashes through that. It's very visible and my only worry is that it turns off too quickly and we might lose track of it in the dark. But that hasn't happened after a month of nearly nightly use. Really, it's amazing and has opened up hours of after-hours fetch. Read more

Great quality balls, my dog loves them and they’re the perfect size for him! I like that I can see them at night while he’s hunting for them in the yard. They squeak, they light up and they’re made of soft rubber not that hard rubber and they are the right size for his tiny jaws. My dog hates that. I think they’re going to be a solid durable ball for him and last him a long while or until we lose them. I’ve no idea how long the lights will last I hope they last as long as the balls do. Both of the balls were chewed to pieces in a matter of 30 minutes. Durability and quality were not sufficient. Read more

I have a Porkie. Cross between a Yorkie and a Pomeranian. Small dog, weighs about 9 lbs. (Should be 6 or 7). It fits perfectly in his mouth when he plays with it. He can pick it up and throw it and fetch it. A tennis ball is too big for his tiny mouth. One of his “go to toys”. The glow is pretty bright, but doesn’t last more than about 10 minutes, at most. He doesn’t care. I bought another pack of two, in case I lose these. Amazon has a habit of discontinuing the purchases I like. Read more

With the sun setting earlier and earlier, I wanted a ball that my pup could fetch in the dark. I can charge up the balls for about a minute with a UV flashlight that I have which usually gets me 8-10 minutes of good visibility. They've held together well so far considering how much my 55lb dog has chewed on them (she LOVES the squeakers). I'll be buying another pack or two for when the first set inevitably wears out. I was excited to get these for my lummox of a German Shepherd & she was super excited to play with them but as we use them on night walks, I was bummed out to see that in both balls, the lights stopped working/burned out less than 48 hours after we had them delivered. As there’s no way to replace batteries, these will join the pile of balls she will ignore or lose. Perhaps I got a bunk handout but these were brand new & similar light up balls (for durability/price) lasted us MONTHS before the lights died. It’s a shame as I can’t afford to buy other ones to replace these for a while & these were not cheap. If you expect more than 1 evening of use, look for a better brand. Boooooo 🍅 Read more
