Product: Black, X-Small For: Pre-teen daughter who wears size 10-12 The Sizing Reality: These run SMALL. The X-Small fits my 10-12 girls perfectly. Based on this, I'm guessing all sizes run thin/petite/small - adults should likely size up. They are genuinely high-waisted. If purchased for adults, they might only work for petite women. Material Issue: This is 100% cotton that feels rough, not soft at all. My daughter won't wear them because she doesn't like how they feel against her skin. Despite having two cats, they don't attract pet hair. Wrinkle Situation: They come VERY wrinkled (see first photo). After washing, tumbling, and immediately removing them from the dryer, I removed most of the worst wrinkles. I took the second photo after pulling them, wadded up, from my daughter's clothing bin — where she stores them because she doesn't wear them. Note how the ties on the "pockets" hang when they come untied. Design Details: Pockets are only semi-functional (fairly shallow, but not as bad as some) - wouldn't trust them with anything important Decorative ties can come untied and look sloppy Color is solid black Contrast seaming is fine on the black Wide legs as shown in product photos Who Should Buy: People who appreciate the look and are not bothered by the feel of cotton fabric. Three stars because my daughter won't wear them due to the rough texture, and they don't look as nice as the photos. They probably won't look like the styled model photos on most people. They don't show any signs of wear (possibly because my daughter won't wear them). I would've given them four stars because they do match the style shown in the store pics, but no amount of maintenance we tried will get them to look like that. I love these pants. I’m 5‘3 and 150 pounds and got the medium in brown and the large in green. The elastic feels tight, on the medium, but I’m sensitive to tightness and have ways of stretching the elastic some. Also the fabric on both doesn’t look as washed out as it does in the picture. It’s more like a solid color, not variegated. That’s why I took off a star. I find I can wear them all the way pulled up, or lower on my hip. These pants are super comfy! And pet hair magnets but I have a roller brush so I'm set! They were a bit on the stiffer side but I washed them with fabric softener and they loosened up a lot. These are for comfort not fashion, but seem a bit more out together than sweats. The elastic fits but even in the large was tighter than I expected. I sized up for a looser fit but the large fits as if it were my normal size. I'm 5'7,135lbs, 27w,34h for reference. They fit how they fit on the model and while they fit, I will prolly put in a looser elastic band. I like the pockets and string detail in the front and I like that the butt isn't emphasized so I can be comfy out in public. These pants are flattering and so comfortable. The fabric washes well and feels breathable in summer yet cozy enough for fall. The pockets are actually useful, big enough for my phone and keys. They look so cute on the model. On me at 5'2" and 122lbs not so much. I ordered a small. Maybe if I had ordered som'n larger? The elastic waistband is pretty tight and that is not a flattering look on me with my belly pooch. And they hit the floor making the whole thing just look like a big block. Read more
