I wish I had taken a picture. Honestly, I only started looking into these because my daughter asked for one, but I initially dismissed it because she is always asking for things and I figured I've been using tablets on my appliance for years and its fine so why would she need one?! Then I saw an ad and started looking into them. I broke down and it was amazing. Even with daily efferdent treatments, my appliance displayed a stunning improvement after one use of the Dental Pod PRO. I had no idea there was any build up at all (it wasn't yellow and didn't seem to be cloudy) but now it is so clear and clean it looks brand new. The removable reservoir to dump and refill is great. I love not having to worry about getting water on the cord/electrical components or keeping a long cord on the counter so I can reach the sink. The shorter daily clean is a great option, especially if you have to wear them during the day as it's quick enough to run while you brush your teeth, or shower, or do makeup, and then pop in the clean retainers if your appliance must be worn 24/7. I still use this function daily, even though I only need to wear mine at night, but it seems to be more than sufficient for regular cleaning. The first cleaning I used the proprietary tablets that came with it. However, I have since gone back to using efferdent. Both did great, and I may update and see if I prefer one or the other with a weekly cleaning as I've decided I'm comfortable with a water only daily clean. Read more

I'm loving the Zima Dental Pod Pro to keep my dental appliances clean and stain free. I wear my appliances at night and need to use Xylimelts at night because of dry mouth. The tabs have a layer that stained my top appliance and nothing seemed to get it clean. My dentist told me about Zima. I purchased the Dental Pod Pro right away. In the instructions there is a protocol for older stained appliances using the max cleaning setting. I followed it and am happy to report that both appliances look new again, clear as the day I received them! My Pod came with tablets to add to the water and they fizz when dropped in. I ordered more tablets because I want my appliances to stay clean. It's simple to use every day and the Pod is easy to empty and fill without complications with the electrical supply element. The Zima Pro works magic. My teen son wears Hawley retainers. His orthodontist instructed him to brush the retainers with toothpaste everyday but the stains keeping building up no matter he brushed them three four times a day. I finally came across a Zima ad on Facebook, and it’s also available on Amazon. Hooray! Ordered on December 27, delivered on December 30. I immediately used the Zima Pro and the boosting tablet according to the enclosed instruction. My son’s retainers were so clean; the white stain buildups were completely removed. I’m so impressed with the result. I also reached out to Zima’s customer service for some requests. The customer service was excellent. Does EVERYTHING I was annoyed about in the standard version. Hate unplugging your pod to clean/rinse? Now it’s two separate pieces. It’s bigger and has more space too. Better and quieter? Yup. With water running I don’t even hear it anymore. It still has the 5 minute interval but feels like it cleans faster and better. During orthodontic treatment, I found it difficult to keep the aligners properly cleaned. It took so much time and effort. I asked one of my care providers if there was another way to keep my aligners clean - perhaps an ultrasonic cleaner? At that time, I don't think the Zima Dental Pod or Pro were available. Fast forward to fall 2025 - my daughter asked about the Zima Dental Pod, and I did some research. I read reviews on lots of similar products, many of them cheaper. Finally, I settled on the Zima Dental Pod Pro, so we could share one device for the family to see how well it works. If all goes well, we may be investing in future purchases as the kids leave the house. I was genuinely impressed at how well the Dental Pod Pro cleaned my older retainers. Even after just two regular cleaning cycles, as recommended in the user manual, they immediately felt so much cleaner! It really is easy to use, and easy to clean.
