I was happy with my Queen sized mattress but after a long tenure it was giving my wife problems sleeping. So we did the mattress shopping thing. She always wanted to upgrade to King size and I finally gave in (Happy wife, happy life, guys!) Of course I had already thought this all the way through and knew that it also meant all new bedding and possibly a new frame if the current one did not adjust to King size. Lo and behold, when the mattress was delivered we discovered that the frame did not adjust any larger than Queen size. I quickly got on Amazon and picked out this frame and paid the nominal extra amount to guarantee next day delivery. The box was nice and compact when it arrived. While I am not as much of a visual person (I prefer instructions with words that walk me through the steps) I was able to follow the pictures easy enough after I got all of pieces oriented correctly. It took less than an hour to put together and the mattress and box spring fit perfectly. NOTE: Make sure you box spring(s) are completely inside the bracket or you could ruin them. Haven't attached a headboard yet (yet another new purchase that will need to be made) but we do like the sturdiness of the frame. Gives the bed a good height as well. Pretty happy with this bed frame. After doing so much research and trying to find a bed frame to support our new boxspring and mattress we decided to buy this one. Building it was super easy, it took us less than 30 min to finish and a single person could do it alone. The end result was a sturdy bed that didn’t move or make any noises. Only time will tell about its durability, the only thing that I am concerned about is the fact that the middle support is not centered but towards one side, we think this is due to setting it up as a queen since it can be setup to different sizes. We chose the frame that requires a box spring and found it very easy to assemble. Glanced through the instructions and probably spent all of 10 minutes putting it together. The included mini ratchet made it very easy. Our box spring was a perfect fit and is securely held in place by the angle iron style frame. The angle iron style frame (in addition to capturing the box spring) also has the benefit of giving you almost that full 7 inches of underneath clearance for a 7 inch height. With a tube steel style frame your box spring can float/slip and for a 7 inch lift frame you likely get 1" less of under storage space due to the thickness of the tube steel frame. We chose a 7 inch high as that seemed like it would fit our 6 inch bins as under storage while not raising our box spring & mattress too high. Since this was placed on a carpet with padding, it did sink in some and the 6" high bins ended up being a very tight fit since they don't sink into the carpet. We added floor protectors to all the uprights (the kind that usually go on dining room chair legs) and then we put a rubber (couch/table style) rubber floor protector under each upright. 6" high bins now have plenty of clearance to slide underneath the 7" high frame. If you are in need of a stable bed frame that is affordable and can handle not only some serious weight but also different size mattresses, then look no further! I am currently sleeping on a full size bed and it had am old style weak frame that eventually one of its legs bent irrepairably. So I found this one and figured for the price I'd give it a shot. Now Ive lost weight but when I bought this, I was definitely around 400lbs so finding a frame to hold the box, mattress, and my weight had to work. This frame is very sturdy when easily assembled and has a center support which greatly helps. It had had no issues with my weight back then and definitely doesn't now either. It comes with a tool and all the necessary hardware to set up as well. I just can't recommend this bed frame enough and eventually Ill be moving up to a queen which I'll be able to use the same frame! Read more
