It does what it's supposed to do: Let you stand your computer vertically, so it takes up less space on your desk. I didn't realize just how useful that would be before I got this. I was used to just placing my laptop on top of something else -- sometimes precariously so! -- when I needed to clear some space. Now I just tip it up when I need to write or draw something, and return it to its normal location when I'm done. Easy peasy. It's a little pricey for something you could probably make yourself for a few dollars from scrap wood that you have sitting around. But it *does* have some nice touches that justify the expense. For example, you might not think to make yours adjustable for a range of different computers. (I was able to slide my MacBook Air right into it, thin side down, without adjustment.) You might not line the cradle with velvet and silicone, to protect the computer from scratches and shocks. You might not add as nice a finish as you find on this one. (You might not finish it at all.). And yours would almost certainly be clunkier-looking. (You would use rectangles instead of trapezoids, and you wouldn't bother to bevel the edges.). So if you can afford to treat yourself now and then, consider getting one of these. Read more

The media could not be loaded. The ZMARKRAFT Adjustable Vertical Laptop Stand Holder is an item that I never would have thought I needed. It's not something that I would go on Amazon and type up a search for. I didn't even realize how useful it would be until I had the opportunity to get one. I saw that it was natural wood and thought, "Hey, I think that would be really useful on my desk." I have a tendency to have stuff lying everywhere. I'm one of those people who really uses my space to the max. I have my PC, and then I also have a tablet or a laptop to my side, always taking up what little desk space I have available to me. When it's not in use, I typically close it and put it behind my monitor, but it still takes up space, and I end up stacking things on top of it, and it just becomes a mess. Getting this vertical laptop stand, it kind of became a tool that I used for all kinds of things. As you can see in my pictures, I've used it for my journal, and I've used it for setting aside a few notebooks that I want to get out of the way so I can free up desk space. I've used it for my tablet, for my laptop, or both. I also didn't realize when I ordered it that both walls of the stand are adjustable, which is super useful and functions really well. On the bottom, they have these four easily accessible nuts that you can unscrew and loosen. This allows you to slide both or just one of the walls in either direction, so you can ensure that it has a nice fit for your laptop or your tablet or whatever else you're using it for. It says that it's a universal fit, and that's definitely true for laptops or tablets because of the adjustment. It also has cushioned pieces attached to the bottom of the stand and both of the walls, so your laptop or tablet never makes direct contact with a hard surface. There's a really thick, durable cushioning that will protect your device. Also, the bottom of the stand has these two strips of a material that prevents it from sliding and also protects any kind of desk surface you place it on. It won't slide, and if you do slide it, it's not going to cause any damage to any surfaces. It's a really, really well-made item. Especially with the sale that's happening right now, but even at full retail price, I think it's an absolutely great value. I was expecting something like this to cost a bit more because it's so beautifully made. It's wonderfully sanded; it's not a wooden item that you order off of Temu that comes unpolished and kind of rough and, you know, basically incomplete. This is the kind of desk organizer you don’t realize you need until you have one. It helps save space and neatly stores my laptop upright. This stand is beautifully crafted. Better than that, it's super functional. It's difficult to loosen and re-tighten the screws on the bottom. I had to use a pair of pliers to do it, but with a good pair of pliers, this thing is rock solid. The material on the sides where you slide down the laptop into the stand feels like a suede (and smells like it) and it is super soft. Allows for an easy glide in and out without scratches. The bottom has a thick layer of what looks and feels to be a rubber or silicone for protection. It also prevents the laptop from sliding out horizontally. The base is wide enough that her laptop doesn't tip over. You could with enough force, of course, but it shouldn't tip over accidentally. As long as you use a pair of pliers to tighten the screws and loosen the screws, adjusting it to fit the laptop is fairly simple. You only have to adjust it once, unless you buy a different laptop with a different thickness. Adjustment with pliers is no big deal, because you won't be doing this often at all. Set it and forget it. Needing pliers also means it won't be wiggling loose over time and should stay steady right where you put it. My wife and I love this thing. It's very good quality.
