For some reason, I expected these to be "thicker" like a Pyrex brand measuring cup. I was wrong. These are a thinner, more comfortable mug. Thinner but not fragile. I consider them to be good quality mugs. I enjoy the clear glass both for seeing the contents and that I can see that they are truly clean. The handles stay cool to the touch while the coffee stays hot. But I've personally never measured the difference. The mugs have a mild conical shape with the base being the widest part. I believe this may assist in less tip overs and spilling. if you're looking to try glass mugs. These would be a very good choice! The pictures show both empty and a 12oz. brewed apple cider. I bought 2 and will be purchasing more. Read more

Only used it once yet. But it is a great design. First why borosilicate. The following is the result of my research and represents my own opinions about glass types which you verify for yourself. Borosilicate glass has much higher thermal shock resistance than glass or tempered glass. It has a smoother surface for easier cleaning. It is less porous against staining. It is beautifully clear more like crystal than other glass types. I like being able to immediately see how full the mug is. I like to see the color of the contents as I add milk or steep a tea bag. Borosilicate glass has a lower refractive index (less optical distortion), fewer impurities than much tempered glass (no color tint). It just looks much more transparent to me so I can see the color better. It has Mohs hardness of 7.5 vs 7.0 for tempered soda lime glass and 5.5-6 for soda lime glass. That mans greater resistance to scratching cracking, chipping. on the other hand, tempered glass absorbs 4 - 5 times as much drop energy with invisible microcracks.. It is much less likely to shatter when dropped on the floor until after multiple drops. Then it shatters into tiny pieces, explosively, due to the released tensile strength of tempering. The same thing can happen under thermal stress like taking it out of the microwave and putting it on surface with cold wet water. While borosilicate annealed glass shatter relatively easily when dropped or hit against a hard object, it shatters into fewer very large pieces making for a much easier clean up. But I do treat borosilicate more carefully to avoid dropping it. Aside from the material properties of beautiful pure transparency, super easy cleaning (I never bother to put borosilicate kitchenware in the dishwasher), and high thermal shock resistance, which are the main reasons I bought these mugs, they well made. The design is simple, elegant and practical. The handle is wide and solid, making the mug comfortable to hold securely. The wider bottom makes them stable and balanced even when full. I also suspect the tapered body improves mechanical strength. The contours all are curved rather than straight which makes it feel more organic in design. The 20oz ize is good for a large cup of tea, coffee or soup. In spite of its sturdiness and solid feeing it is very light. Borosilicate glass downsides: More expensive because it is more expensive to make. Shatters when dropped much more easily. Handle with care. Read more

The media could not be loaded. These glass mugs are fabulous and I love them! I've used them mostly for hot beverages like coffee/lattes and tea. They microwave well. I've used my Nespresso machine to prep for making a lazy latte with having the Nespresso brew straight into the cup and adding milk afterwards or adding milk first and being the Nespresso on top (pictured) and they've handled both with ease. The thickness is great, a touch on the thin side, but I kind of just right. The handle though is thick and study. I can easily hold the mug by the handle with four fingers which I cannot do with some mugs I currently have. They've also very light which was a bit surprising, but not a negative at all. I've washed and used them several times without any issues. They're also oddly satisfying to make drinks in. If I didn't already have too many mugs, I would totally buy more! The size, 16oz or roughly 480mL, works well for me. Perfect for a cup of tea or latte. Read more

Well made, very attractive and holds a good amount. A little larger than your average coffee mug. I like that the bottom is a bit wider and sturdy when setting down so knocking it over isn’t a worry like some other mugs with a narrow bottom. Love the clean simplicity of this mug. It is elegant and comfortable to hold with the well designed handle. Makes my morning coffee even more enjoyable. 😁☕️ Read more

These mugs are a nice quality glass--don't seem particularly fragile and are a nice weight. They are a nice size too and work well on my mug warmer. Read more

Nice quality glass, not lightweight. Well packaged with lots of bubble wrap! In a corrugated box inside another box ( shipped with other items). Shape is slightly wider at bottom, making for a stable base. I only gave 4 stars because unless you fill the 16 oz glass right to the top it will spill over ( it hold 16 ox but to the top), in actual usage you can fill it with 14 oz. Sorry I only got 2 but I’m the only one here who drinks coffee! Read more

The beat feature these beautiful mugs has is the wide bottom. (Fewer spills). The width is wonderful for wisking my heavy cream in my coffee. They are brilliant shiny and light weight. Perfect for my delicate hands. I’m throwing all my old cup away and purchasing these for our coffee bar!! Also perfect for iced drinks and root beer floats! Read more

These clear mugs are big, holding a lot of great tea. They appear to be strong, and I am not afraid of breaking them. Having the see through is fun with the different kinds of teas using. The handles do not get warm, but the glass does a little, but not overly hot. These were delivered on time. Read more
