UPDATE, 7/28/23: Upon receiving my review, ZOMAKE reached out to offer me the option of a replacement or refund and stated they would submit my photos to their manufacturing company. They were extremely polite, professional, and did not need to offer me such a follow-up, as it was after the typical 30-day return window. Their concern and interest in my experience makes me hopeful that the product's durability can be improved and its lifespan lengthened, but also makes me more confident in buying from them again in the future. Thank you, ZOMAKE! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this lightweight backpack for use during a 2-week vacation to Japan. Used daily and carefully packed without being overloaded (e.g., usually a portable charger, pocket wifi, extendable umbrella, 16.9 oz water bottle, zipper coin pouch, DSL camera and lens, etc.), it has already started to fray on one shoulder strap and water bottle side-pocket. There are also stray fabric strands beneath the zipper for the largest pouch, though I'm not sure whether they existed on delivery or are another recent development. I do love the color and can confirm it is water-resistant (lots of rain during our visit) and very lightweight, but, evidently, it could not stand up to regular use. Furthermore, as others have stated, the mesh side-pockets are too weak and shallow to snugly hold onto even a 16.9 oz water bottle, mine was constantly falling out whenever I shifted the backpack off my shoulder(s), which was very annoying. Lightweight, sturdy and comfortable to wear. Fairly priced item. I used this every day for 2 weeks in Greece. On the airplane I put my purse inside, my iPad, my charging cords, my battery bank and snacks. It is has three different pocket sections. The very outer pocket I had mints. The middle section has a pocket inside of it where i put my cooling scarf, spare hearing protection, small brush and a coin purse. I put a small bottle of alcohol-gel on the zipper and tucked the alcohol-gel into the mesh pocket. The mesh pocket helped me from losing the gel bottle. I used the alcohol-gel when thwre was no soap in the public bathrooms. The bigger section I would carry my purse, water bottle and battery bank every day. I also would use a travel lock on the big section when I was walking in crowds and did not have to worry about any pick pockets from behind me. In the outside mesh pockets I kept a small packet of tissues for someone else so I did not have to unlock my bag. The zippers have little pull tabs that are tremendously helpful and I zipped and unzipped a LOT. I already gave a yellow and pink bag as gifts to others who are traveling soon. I bought this backpack to take on a trip. It was fantastic! It folds up into a neat little square for easy traveling. However, it it large enough to carry all of my items when it is unfolded. We are able to carry an extra set of clothes for our family of 3, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle, and still had room for souvenirs. Love this lightweight backpack when I travel. Easy to pack and doesn’t take up much space. I can carry it on excursions or use it if I need extra space on the return trip. It’s held up well and has several zippered compartments for finding items easily. The only negative would be the shallow mesh side pockets. They are not designed for full water bottles. Read more
