A beautiful stovetop moka pot which makes delicious espresso in a matter of about 5 minutes and doesn’t break the bank. It’s easy to clean and a great addition to my coffee ritual. I got the six cup version and could not be happier. Read more

Difficult to rate the Zulay as coffee making is labor intensive but, coffee taste is exceptional Taste is comparable taste to my French press so that’s a plus. Some problems are: -no manual. Had it not been for YouTube it would have been much worse. -No guidance on how much coffee to add for brewing by strength etc. Be patient as it takes a while to brew on an electric stove. -no guidance on how to know when pot has completed brewing. Something about listening for a ‘gurgle’ to signal brew complete which I have listened for intently on various brews but have never heard. -cleaning/washing vessel is easy enough however, emptying grounds is a pain. -great appearance and seems well made. No noise in use. -arrived in a timely manner. -fair price. Read more

I bought the white, 5.5 cup stovetop coffee maker around 2 or 3 weeks ago and it works just fine. The white enamel stains when coffee drops splatter a bit, however, disappear after rinsing the pot (once it cools down, of course). The instructions stated the handle mimicked wood, so I knew this info beforehand, but really wished it was real. The detail "wood" have added more charm, not Zulay's fault as they did not manufacture the pot. What matters most to me is that the handle is not hot, has a comfortable grip & was designed further out than usual to eliminate burns. Valve, pressure & percolating function well resulting in a strong brew. 1 cup water, 2 tablespoons of ground coffee & 1 cup milk allow me two flavorful servings. The lid hinge could be stronger but it's not a deal breaker. The spout pours a steady stream, no access running down the pot. It does take the coffee maker some time to percolate at medium heat (sorry, haven't timed it) so I just give it a head start by adding warm water. Yes, the reservoir is already stained (I anticipated this much), but mine is not peeling at all as I've seen some reviews state. I really don't have complaints about the purchase. I make sure to rinse & store it dry; I'm certain this product will last a long while for me. Read more

Love it. I use a small burner and it's the perfect size for this pot with a plastic handle. It works great. And is perfect for 1 or 2 cups of espresso . I prefer this method vs having a large cumbersome appliance taking up my precious countertop real estate space. It was shipped quickly and was packaged great. If you are looking at a Moka pot this one is great. Read more

This stove top espresso maker is very pretty but pretty doesn't equal good quality or efficient. I have a 6 cup Bialetti moka stove top espresso maker that is getting very old and I was looking to replace it, but didn't feel like I could afford to get another one (they're $56.90). This one was so much more economical and had so many good reviews I thought I'd order one. Don't waste your money. I got what I paid for. I've used it quite a bit, but the majority of the time it stops brewing long before all the water has been used up. I'm filling it with water and coffee grounds exactly the same way I do my Bialetti. I like to brew up a lot of espresso that I then keep chilled in my refrigerator. Today every time I used it I ended up with only about half the espresso as it should have brewed, with the last batch only being about a 10th of the water that was in the bottom half of the espresso maker. I didn't hear the bubbling/brewing noise I normally hear, when it's done, so it sat on the stove basically burning the tiny bit of espresso it had managed to brew. I'm done using this. It's going into the trash can. My husband has kindly ordered me another Bialetti. Read more

This worked perfectly for 6 months but has been aesthetically breaking down maybe 4months after daily use i.e paint chipping away when washing and it’s permanently discolored as well (I’ve looked up and tried various cleaning methods suggested from reddit). The latest issue is this rubber band which is falling apart and impacting the pressure and quality of the coffee - coffee now moves past this rubber band and coffee spits out from the sides so this isn’t functioning well anymore. I came onto my Amazon acct to see if I could find extra parts under suggested but I can’t so I’ll need to go to home depot or something and spend more money on this. Anyway, I was shocked to see the date of this purchase. I haven’t even had this a full year and just barely passed half a year with it and it’s made it clear that this wasn’t a great purchase. The longevity is really disappointing- I would advise against purchasing this - save your money for something that will actually last, otherwise you’re just throwing money away on repairs in less than a year. Maybe I got a defective one or maybe getting this in white was asking for trouble - who knows. I have another (different brand) but much smaller (and not painted, just original material) for YEARS and it’s not fallen apart one bit but it doesn’t make enough coffee for the home so I rarely use it anymore but it was used daily for years and multiple times a day. To me, this proves this design can last longer than 6months. Read more
