ZWILLING TWIN Signature 8-inch Bread Knife

The media could not be loaded. I've been baking a lot of bread, and it made me realize how terrible my old bread knife was. I have a chef knife from this brand and love it, so I bought myself this bread knife, and all I can say is WOW! The quality is exactly what I was expecting from Zwilling: - the blade is super sturdy and sharp - the blade and handle both feel high quality, and they're balanced perfectly - the blade length is perfect for my knife holder and for cutting through breads of all sizes It tackles my crusty sourdough loaves with beautiful, clean cuts. I used it on a focaccia and had to get video because I was so impressed with how quick and smooth the cuts are (it always took a lot of sawing to get through focaccia with my old knife). It barely took two swipes to get through the focaccia, and it left no crumbs. If you're making beautiful breads, a good bread knife is a must, and this knife fits the bill. First time I used this knife I loved it had a knife that cut good but this knife cuts great. Feels great in my hand very comfortable easy to hold with my arthritic hand. now have to see how long it stays sharp but I am believing it will for a long time seems great quality and great price. Though this is a great knife, it is not stamped with “Made in Germany”. It says “Manufactured in Germany”, so I’m assuming it’s a knockoff that was manufactured in Germany by a company from China. Read more

This is a very good bread knife. It sliced cleanly, no or very few crumbs, doesn't grab or stick to the bread. Years ago we had a bread knife that came with a bagel cutter that sliced excellently. I misplaced that knife and my wife has lamented the loss ever since and we have tried over the years to find one as good. This knife is as good as we remember and is likely better.
