Better sleep if pet dander allergies
No changes on this medicine. It doesn’t make me drowsy, I take it everyday for my allergy to dogs. I have a golden retriever and they shed a lot. My hands usually get super red and inflamed and I usually break out and hives and it’s hard to breathe but not when I take Zyrtec. Read more

It isn't too bad.
Not as strong as I would have wanted compared to others used in the past ( Of course theses were OTC and prescribed . So that's that. Non Drowsy . It DOES work for animal allergies. But it still serves a general purpose. Faster acting than others I have tried . Lasts ok . I would not say this is a solve all 24 hour but I do live in one of the worst allergy states. I don't believe any medications would get rid of it all. Read more

The Best Allergy Medicine I Have Ever Taken For My Ultra-Sensitive Skin and Food Allergies
I have ultra-sensitive skin and often get itching in the strangest places -- always on only ONE finger or my thumb, or ONE toe, or in the middle of ONE hand or on ONE elblow or leg. It is very weird (!), and this has been happening for years. This sensitivity led to me reading every label on every food product I buy, assuming pesticides and other chemicals were the root cause of my itching. Doing that, in turn, led me to eating almost entirely organic and gluten-free food at home. The itching at home doesn't happen often, but when I eat out, sometimes a particular food, mixed drink or wine will trigger the itching. Therefore, I always carried Benadryl tabs with me. Unfortunately, Benadryl does not work immediately (typically, within 30-60 minutes), and then its effectiveness lasts for only 4-6 hours. I mentioned my frequent use of Benadryl to my doctor, and my concern about taking it too often. He recommended Zyrtec, which I had never heard of, and it was an excellent recommendation. It does also take a while to take effect, but it lasts a full 24 hours. Although I occasionally use Benadryl anti-itch cream or gel -- depending on where I have the itching -- I likely will never go back to using Benadryl allergy tabs . The size of the Zyrtec tabs is the same (tiny), so it is very easy to swallow. I highly recommend this product. Read more
