Got this iron in 1" in Rose Gold. Arrived very fast and very well packaged. The cord is quite long which is a plus. 1. Heats up very very quick. I love that there is a progress shown in degrees. I've been curling hair for 30 years and have been through many curling irons. This is the first one I own that shows a temperature going up in degrees and I love this feature so I'm not guessing if I can start curling or wait for it to reach the temperature. 2. 9 times out of 10 I use the clamp to secure the strands. The tension on this clamp is just right. Holds the hair strands in place without pinching, ripping, or pulling. I did a full head before writing this and not a single hair got pulled during the entire process. The little fold out wire stand is also nice and holds the iron up without any issues. 3. I own another high end ceramic iron at a larger diameter and the coating is not the same. My old one is very smooth and slick and leaves my hair super shiny and smooth even at high temperatures. This one is slightly ever so textured. It feels smooth but in comparison the texture is just a tiny bit different. If you are not comparing two items side by side you wouldn't even notice. My hair was also just a tiny bit more frizzy after curling which eventually settled. Not a huge difference but it's there. I'll keep playing with the temperature to see if I can reach the same result. 4. The curls form and set incredibly fast. With my old iron I need to hold it in place between 7-10 seconds for a curl to shape. This one was immediate, curl and release, and the shape stays tight unless I tease it. Which again tells me that although the temperature is the same on both, this one may either run hotter or the coating makes the difference. I have pretty thick slick hair down past my shoulders and I got the whole head done in 15 min which is super fast for me. If you separate into thicker strands, may even be faster than that. 5. My only gripe is the buttons really. Many curling irons are switching up their button style and placement. When I curl, my fingers inevitably press the "plus" button for the temperature control. Annoying because I have to keep checking that I didn't raise it too high and have to adjust it after every strand. I don't know if it's just me and my hands but I remember having these issues in the past with common brands like revlon that placed their buttons in the same location. The buttons are also not super stiff so it aids in this mishap. Not a huge deal breaker, just annoying. My current iron has the buttons lower on the handle, off to the side, and they are very stiff and require a long press which nearly eliminates this problem. Overall love the iron. It's fast, still leaves my hair very shiny generally, pretty. Long shaft is perfect for long hair. Love the clamp stiffness. The price can't be beat. This will probably become my travel iron once I dial in the right temperature. Oh, despite it being skinny and my hands starting to succumb to mild arthritis, not a single slip or burn. The handle is very ergonomic and comfortable. Great iron overall. Read more
I usually only buy super brand hair products, but this time I decided to try something more affordable and what a surprise i got! Great quality tool, for a third of the price, ceramic, ligthweight, and you can actually see in the screen the speed that it actually reaches the desired/set temperature- super fast! Love it!! It’s a nice curling iron but the button you press down on bent and weakened and now I can’t use it. I feel like if they reinforced the clamp button it would be better. I do not like where the buttons sit. While curling my hair I am constantly turning the curling iron off or changing the temperature. It gets annoying. Read more
This curling iron works pretty well! It heats up fast and it curls my hair great. I have long hair, and it definitely takes a long time to curl it the way that I want to, but this iron is one of the best ones that I have owned because it can actually tackle my hair type! It is easy to use but when you are curling your hair you do need to be cognizant of where you place your fingers so that you do not accidently press the buttons while you are holding tight onto the curling iron handle. All in all, I'm super happy that I have a high-quality curling iron that works with long hair and is super sleek and pretty! Read more
Worse curling iron I have ever have used!! The control switch is terrible. It’s in the wrong place. If you even move the iron. A bit. It goes down!!!! Not up. Always down. Sometimes off!!! It got so hot on 340… That it burnt my hair. And caused my hair to be extremely frizzy!!!! If I could give it a zero. I would!!!! Read more
Safe to use, easy handling and great for long lasting curls! Just as great if not better than versus namebrand ones for a fraction of the calls I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a simple yet stylish curl Read more
