The ToMe curling iron is a beautiful 1" curling iron made for long hair. This curling iron has a long barrel which makes it easy to curl long hair. The curling iron is navy blue and comes with an anti burn tip for safety. The ToMe Curling iron has an LED display so that you can set the curling iron to the correct temperature for you hair type. The curling iron has a double ceramic barrel to ensure the iron heats up evenly. It also has a rotary dial to prevent temperature changes. This is the first time I have seen this in a curling iron, and it is a welcome change as I am tired of my curling iron either turning off or the temperature changing to a higher temperature which can be hair damaging. The auto shut off function ensures that the curling iron will shut off in case you forget to do that. As with all heated hair tools, it is important to make sure to use a heat protectant before using. I section my hair into about 1-inch pieces and start the process. I'll leave the curling iron for about 7-10 seconds to ensure my hair doesn't get damaged. How long you leave the curling iron in your hair will depend on your hair type. Although the curling iron is only 1 inch, it gives me beautiful bouncy curls. At first I thought this would give tighter curls because of the size, but it doesn't. The weight of long hair will weigh down the curls. Once I am done, I allow the curls to set before combing through and spray with a flexible hold hair spray. The ToMe curling iron is easy to use and will give you beautiful, long lasting, curls! It is affordably priced compared to other curling irons on the market. I really like this curling iron. It heats up fast, and the clear ring around the handle lights up with a flashing red light while it's heating, and then solid green when it's hot. It maintains temp and I really appreciate the low temp setting (175) for when I want to baby my hair. I'm getting a little older so my eyes aren't as sharp, and the display is great for me. The blue numbers to indicate the desired temp are big and bright and hard to miss, and if it remains plugged in after you turn it off, it displays the word OFF. It's very eye-catching and helps me remember to unplug it once it's cooled down. It's a bit tippy when you put it down, and leans toward the tip, but it's got enough of a collar near the tip to keep it from touching whatever surface it's on. Still, if you have a synthetic countertop you probably should put a heat mat under it just in case. Overall I like this enough that I'm going to take a look at ToMe's other tools now! Read more

This curling iron is highly functional and seems quite durable. I unplug this as soon as I am done, but there is no need to stress about turning it off as it turns off automatically.
