The media could not be loaded. We have a 2.5 car garage that aside from the automatic door lights, has a single E26 light base for additional lighting and is always too dim, so this my pick to light the space better. The fixture is very light weight, not surprising since it is LED but I was expecting a more heavy duty housing on it. The aluminum housing is supposed to act as a radiator, dissipating heat from the 100 watt driver, however it is just a simple shell without any fins of any sort, so convection is minimal, tho they provide 4" long mount brackets. The assembly is easy enough to mount, fortunately it appears they thought about the design to accommodate the stud to stud span on 16" oc framing. Beats using the plastic anchors that really aren't meant to hang inverted. The stands are good, powder coated steel, substantial enough to provide a solid support. Decent threaded knobs to connect the fixture to the supports. Only thing missing in my mind is a pair of lock washers. The 6 foot cord is long enough to position the light in a useful place, and it has a true mechanical switch, so using this with a smart outlet or smart switch is plug and play. Only complaint on the switch is there is not on/off marking, that seems silly. Overall as long as the driver or any of the LED dies don't burn out early, this should end up a good value. Lighting Up the Dark Corners of My Workshop! I recently picked up this shop light to finally deal with the dim, flickering situation in my garage, and honestly, the difference is night and day. Right out of the box, it was a breeze to set up. Since it's a simple plug-in design, I didn't have to worry about any complicated wiring; I just mounted it and plugged it into the nearest outlet. The six-foot power cord gave me plenty of reach, so I could position it exactly where I needed it over my main workbench without needing an extension cord right away. The brightness is absolutely incredible. It pumps out a massive amount of light that completely floods the room, making my old shop lights look like dim candles in comparison. The 5000K daylight white color is perfect because it’s crisp and clean without being too blue or harsh on the eyes. It makes every project so much easier when you can actually see the fine details of what you're working on. I no longer have to use a secondary flashlight to find small screws or check the finish on a piece of wood. One of my favorite little features is the built-in on/off switch right on the cord. It’s such a simple addition, but it makes a huge difference not having to fumble with the plug every time I leave the room. For something this powerful, it stays surprisingly cool to the touch and doesn't hum or buzz like the old fluorescent tubes I used to use. If you’re looking to upgrade a basement, warehouse, or just a messy garage, this is a total game-changer for the price. Read more

If you’re looking for a shop light that will absolutely flood a space with light, this one delivers in a big way. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s brighter than the sun — it lights up the garage/workbench area instantly and makes it easy to see every little detail. For the price, the brightness is honestly impressive. That said, there are two things you should know before you buy it. First: it gets REALLY hot. After it’s been on for a while, the housing heats up enough that you’re going to want to be careful where you place it and what it’s near. I wouldn’t aim this at anything delicate, and I’d keep it away from clutter, cardboard, fabric, or anything that could be affected by heat. It’s fine if you use common sense, but it’s not one of those lights you forget is even on. Second: the build quality feels a little flimsy. It works, and it’s bright, but it doesn’t have that heavy-duty “this is going to survive a workshop” feel. The body and mounting/stand components feel more lightweight than I expected, so I wouldn’t want it getting bumped around a lot. I set it up and left it alone — and I’d recommend doing the same. Overall, I’d say this is a good pick if your top priority is maximum brightness for cheap, and you’re using it in a fairly stable spot where it won’t get knocked over. Just be aware of the heat and handle it accordingly. Read more
