Better than a brace, but if you're a sweat monster, move along.

The good... much nicer than wearing a brace or wrap. And sometimes you want something between a soft brace/wrap and nothing. Main difference between athletic tape (AT) and kinesiology tape (KT) is that KT stretches, while proper AT doesn't. This means you can use KT in places you can't use AT effectively, like injured knees, shoulders, or wrists. These are pre-cut and easy to put on. Whether applying KT or AT, you can't have any exposed corners as it peels up much easier, so the rounded corners are good. The bad... whether I'm playing basketball, soccer, or doing HIIT, I sweat when I work out... a lot. I wring out my shirt before getting in the car. So when I was putting this on, I wiped my skin surface clean and dry, made sure I'm not putting tape on hair. And when using KT, you're supposed to rub it to warm it up, activate the adhesive, so I did that too. And do all that 30+ min before activity. I sweat enough that these start coming off in under 30 min. I only took off 1 star because I get the vibe that it's more about my own sweatiness, as they stay on great until I'm dripping wet. That only applies to some people (heavy sweaters), and less about the adhesive itself, which would apply to everyone. So if you sweat a lot, these are not for you. Read more
