They do NOT glide!
This item is called a "Bell Glide" and is recommended for carpeted floors. They do not glide on the carpet. In fact, they do not even glide when no one is sitting in the chair! I understand that the item says they are stationary plastic foot, but I took that to mean they "glide" was stationary in that it doesn't swivel like a wheel, but that they would "glide" on the carpet like those furniture mover things. Does not work on Steelcase series 1. The center post where the hydraulic unit is hits the ground because these are much shorter that the wheels. Read more
