TLDR: Gave it 5 stars. The frame itself is good, however, the measurement page does not show the interior distance between the bars centered at the foot and head of the bed, which is something I wish I realized. If you plan on using it for storage, please keep reading. The good: - Really sturdy - Easy and fast assembly - I've seen other reviews mention that the mattress might slip, so I purchased a grip mat as well, which solved this problem. The not-so-good: (this is more my mistake then the product's, hoping that anyone facing a similar situation can learn from my experience) - I bought this with the intention of putting drawers underneath. If you are considering the same- be aware that the measurements of the distance between the bars on the edges (the image where it says 37.03 inches) are different from the measurements of the bars UNDER the bed. ******BE ADVISED THAT THE BARS THAT RUN DOWN THE MIDDLE ARE NOT 37.03 INCHES APART. I was able to get around this problem, but had to secure the support bars to a different part of the center beam, MacGyver style. Looking back, it would have been much easier to have just gotten a different bed frame.****** I had purchased the MALM underbed storage drawers from Ikea because I didn't realize that the measurements shown did not include the distance between the center bars. If you're planning on doing this or something similar, look for a bed that has center bars that are aligned with the outer edge. 5 Stars for the product itself, but please note the following: - you may need to make additional purchases for things like grip pads or furniture slider pads under the legs. - the dimensions provided are not entirely thorough, so be careful with your measurements. Started to fall apart after just one month with our king size premium mattress from DreamCloud. We made love every night on it, but I think that should be expected as daily use of the product and isn’t extraordinary for a young couples, like us.👎 During regular (sleeping) use the free-set frame supports would fall loose and need to be re-set whilst my partner held up our mattress: this happened at least 8 times. 👎 The frame squeaks a fair bit during love making, but when questioned on this my roommates denied hearing anything despite our thin walls.👍 It’s a bummer we will need to find a new frame, because I really enjoyed this one up until now. Decent for the price I guess, but make sure it is sitting on carpet or another surface so that it CANNOT MOVE AROUND. The leg in the center is a weak point and also supports almost all of the weight of anyone on the bed. If the bed moves at all it twists and bends the center leg and it will shear right off (ask me how I know). The outer frame is very solid, but the rails are hinged so all of the weight is supported by that center leg, and when it goes everything collapses into the center. It's scary but not dangerous for anyone on the bed, but anything under it is could be crushed. I replaced the missing leg with a heavy wooden post and it is working great now, so if you trust your woodworking skills this might be a good deal. The rest of the frame and the rails are are very well made and solid, no missing parts and even extra screws are included, and it goes together easily with the included wrench and allen key. No squeaks or creaks, until the leg gave out suddenly. Read more
