I should have read the one star comments. This cartridge is in fact no good as others have stated. Water would not shut completely off. The extractor tool did work well. Ended up having to buy actual Moen cartridge, it was a noticeably diffrent feel when inserting. It went in much easier and no pass by leaking shut off completely. I would not recommend buy this shower cartridge. Read more

I bought this to fix a tight shower handle that failed last night. Water would not stop flowing and needed this ASAP. Lived the overnight delivery option and reasonably priced. The big box wanted ~$60 for OEM and a similar price to the generic brand but that didn’t have the tool. Tip: mine was 8 years old and relatively hard to remove with the tool. For those that recommend vise grips.. save your time and get the kit to avoid issues or damage. To get the cartridge out you can rotate slightly left to right to remove especially if the rubber gasket failed, it makes it much harder to remove. Read more
