Perfect for short trips
I travel quite a bit and got this to keep medication in the right temperature range when on the road and it works great! It's not going to hold a lot so wouldn't be good if you have a lot to put it it, but it held medicine, a drink, a sandwich and some chocolate in there and it kept the medicine in the correct temperature range even when it was over 90 degrees outside. It's portable so it's easy to take it in and out of hotels but watch the strap as it tends to slip out of the plastic clasp if you elongate it to put it on your shoulder. It's got an adapter for the car, with and additional power adapter to plug it into a wall socket overnight in hotels. I recommend powering it on to cool it down before you use it so it's already cool when you put it in the car. I've also added a frozen ice pack on days when I knew it would be sitting in a hot car all day (no driving) and since it's insulated that worked well. I did start with it on my leather car seat and had no problems, but I put it on the carpeted floor of a place I was staying for 10 days and there was a lot of condensation (the carpet was soaking wet). So I recommend putting it on the floor of the car or if inside, on a desk or table because you need the ventilation space. The power cord is long - I can easily plug it into the car front power source and put the cooler in the back seat. This cooler can also be a warmer, but I haven't used that feature at all so I can't say how well it works. Overall: Good for a small amount of items, portability, and can use it inside a house or in a car. Not good if you have a lot of items and be careful of the strap so it doesn't slip out on you.
