No need drainage? This thing fills with water and needs to be drained 3-4 times a day. I’ve bought several portable AC units over the years and have never experienced anything like this before. It does cool the room nicely but the water issue is a huge pain. The remote that comes with it is awful too. You basically have to be close up right in front of the unit for it to work and it is so small/flat I’m just waiting for it to get lost. It’s also anything but quiet. Maybe I just got a dud? Adding to my review: sent back the first one and got a replacement (same unit). It still fills quickly but not as bad. Needs to be emptied once a week. New issue is that the temperature control is completely locked up (stuck at 59) and the AC refuses to continuously run. It pops on for about 10 minutes and then stops blowing for about 20 minutes, then pops on again. So frustrating. I basically use it as a glorified fan because at least it runs uninterrupted in fan mode. Going to really suck when outside temps hit 100. Waste of money! Editing again with an update: I could not hate a purchase I have made on Amazon anymore than this AC. The replacement that was sent while it only needs to be drained once a day, IT DOES NOTHING TO COOL THE ROOM. I am legit sitting here right now listening to the worlds loudest compressor running, and the room is still 85 degrees…even after running for 24 hours. It’s a fan. It moves the hot air around. That’s it. There is no cooling with this AC. Buyer beware. Amazon should pull this item. Wish I would have just gotten my money back. Read more

Works amazingly. I would definitely recommend to others. The Ac keeps my bedroom nice and cold and isn’t so loud like other portable AC units. It is also really easy to set up. Read more

Works great for our 1500 square foot house plus the use of fans of course. We had to use duct tape so it stayed stuck to window. Then to unhook it to drain the water is a pain. So we propped it up on a cement brick so we could keep the hose draining. Read more

This is one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made on Amazon. Please DO NOT buy this ac. The drainage plug is flush with the floor and the small hose provided doesn’t help because the flow of water isn’t strong enough to empty into anything higher than the floor. Which is where most of the water has been emptying onto as I try and fail to empty it. There is a higher drainage plug but whatever that is connected to holds about 5 drops of water and then is seemingly empty. The lower one holds a ton and if you tilt the unit to try to empty it, it flows out of all of the tiny holes in the entire unit (which seems dangerous with anything electrical). So you may be asking yourself, so what? How often do you really have to go through that trouble anyway? 4-5 times A DAY is the answer. Making this ac nearly useless most of the day. Another annoying issue is the piece that holds the exhaust hose out the window only fits a specific size window, and is a hard piece of plastic. Not adjustable in any way. I happen to have a window that is about 3 inches smaller than the plastic provided. The customer service is unusable as well, I contacted them with my issue three times and they just asked the same questions that I have already provided the info for. No actual help whatsoever. I ended up trying to get a refund but didn’t have the box anymore, so I couldn’t actually be fully refunded for it. Just pay the extra money so you don’t have to be sweaty and deal with this mess. We bought this for home and to take with us camping. We set it up at our home first and it was really easy to set up. However, we are still trying to figure out the buttons and how it works. When we first put it together and turned on it powered on and started blowing cold air out which was really nice. The only thing is that we are not sure how to set the temperature on it. It kind of just does everything itself right now. The amount of air it blows out does seem to help with keeping our living room really cool especially if we close our doors to all rooms on really hot days. The noise level is semi quiet. It has wheels on the bottom of it made it easy to move to our living room. We have yet to take it camping but for now we are happy with our purchase. Read more

It's a nice AC unit and cools well. It could be quieter but it's normal enough. It's about 3 feet from my TV and 4" from me. I have to turn the volume from 20 up to 27. Mine's branded as a Garvee CF14. Walmart has it unbranded for $378.99. Garvee has it for $424.99 and the Acekool store on Amazon has the same one for $399.99. This one's a great price but if you can pay more try to get one with a noise level under 40db. Edit: It's been running for 8 weeks and I haven't had to drain the water yet. The noise has gotten more annoying. Edit #2: The plug was out so it was draining onto the carpet. Now I have it elevated so it drains into an 8 qt pot. Fills up every 18 hours. It cools but not like 14000 btu. It gives me about 10 degrees below outside temperature in a 600 sq ft apartment. Buy something else. Read more

Can not stress enough how much the air conditioner is disappointing!!!! It constantly needs to be drained 2-3 times a day!!! I have older LG units that I've had for years and not ever had this much trouble. Waste of money and time. Not worth the aggravation! Read more

Although I've never heard of the brand I took a leap and made the purchase. It was easy to set up and it works great. It's reasonably quiet although I have seen better. All in all its a pretty good unit. Read more
