This is the 2nd one purchased. One was bought a couple weeks ago to run Christmas lights at our house. It was extremely quick and easy to program with the Smart Life app. We needed one for our house in Northern Arizona so purchased another one. Same experience. *) Turned on the plug by hitting the power button once. Heard the unit turn on by the 'click' of the internal relay. *) Held down the same power button for about five seconds until it entered pairing mode. *) Launched the Smart Life app, selected "Add Device" and it instantly found it in pairing mode. *) Entered the WiFi password and within about 10 seconds, it was added to the app and available for use. Highly suggest this item if you need to control something with the Smart Life App. I wish this was available in a 3-Plug version, as I would have purchased that one. Read more

These are so nice to have. I have 3 for different spots. Easy to pair. Did have small issue getting 2 to pair, but one I worked with it trying to get out and back in and holding to pair button again they all work fine! 2 outlets to each unit, able to schedule on/off times for each outlet Read more

Used exclusively indoors. Worked well while it lasted. Had my fridge and the appliance that I wanted to control hooked up because I only have one outlet there. Half a year later, the smart plug has died a tragic death while I was on vacation, taking the fridge with it. Read more

Per the instructions, downloaded the ios ap, plugged in the unit, held the button for 3 seconds and it went into pairing mode. Opened the ap and "added device", it found the unit quickly but needed the Wifi password (so have that ready) to add it to the network (your Wifi needs to have 2.4ghz to make this work). Once added, the ap worked to control the unit - a nice feature is that you can name each of the two outlets individually, and control them individually. To add to alexa you need to add the "skill" for the "Smart Life" ap. Once that's added it will "discover new devices" which it did within 30 seconds. Then voila - "Alexa, turn on the Water Fall" worked perfectly. Read more

I bought the first two about three years ago to run my Christmas lights outside. Since then I’ve purchased two more for the rest of my outdoor decorations. They are programmable so they turn on the lights either at a specific time or at sunset. Then you can program the timer to turn them off or you could set them to turn off at sunrise. Read more

Bought this to use in garage, power my air compressor on one side and the charger for my tools on the other. Immorality I loved this thing. I could set it so the compressor would only turn on during the hours I'm working on the garage. It's been only 6 months and it's apparently done. Won't turn on. Won't connect to Wi-Fi. Doesn't work at all now. Very disappointing. Read more
