simple to set up via Matter to Home Assistant

Tom from COβ€”December 6, 2025

I bought these to use in Home Assistant, connecting via Matter. Setup was a piece of cake! Using the Home Assistant app, scanned the QR code, the device was found, and connected to Home Assistant in less than 30 seconds. Testing has shown that these work well with Home Assistant. Read more

Versatile stable dual smart plug

GBβ€”December 10, 2025

Works well with Homekit. Was able to split the two plugs into separate devices in the Home app. Very pleased with how it's working. Seems very stable, and works well. It has two manual switches on the front of the plug as well to control your devices manually. Read more

Okay product and works. Matter can be frustrating (no fault of this company)

Reviewer Gβ€”January 23, 2025

Review of: junlit Dual Smart Plug with Matter, 4 pack, ASIN: B0CPLLLTQD. I'm a smart-home enthusiast, and have been using smart plugs, bulbs, and devices in my home for a couple decades. "Matter" is the new standard that allows smart devices to connect to any ecosystem, whether Alexa, Google Home, Apple, or Samsung. That's good. Matter is clunky, though. Plugging this into the wall, the plug is one the back left side, not in the middle of the back of the dual plug. Not sure why, but it would seem that would be less stable. But it works. Alexa easily saw the device, and you have to scan an ugly QR code that is on a sticker on the top of the device. You'll be seeing that QR code forever, and you have to have the device plugged in, but also have to scan the QR code, which can be quite difficult. Thankfully, this company included extra QR codes stickers shoved in next to the plugs, but I was worried I'd have used the wrong one. (Each is serialized, so they're not all the same.) While the seller is "junlit", the device comes up as 3 items, a "master" device that you can't control really in any way except to "disable" it, and 2 smart plugs. Those three items are from "Quectel." I'm not sure the point of the first device, and the ONLY option in the Alexa app was to disable it. When I did that, it would never enable again. I ended up having to delete the whole plug, reset it, and start over to get it back. Although the 2 smart plugs worked whether or not the "master" device was enabled or not. Most other dual or quad smart plugs I've used, the "master" device can turn all plugs on or off at the same time. But this "master" seems to do nothing, except allow the app to generate a new code to add the devices to another "Matter" ecosystem. Weird. The plugs work fine and are responsive in my testing with Alexa, and I didn't have to add any new apps or systems to Alexa to make it work. Of course, you also need an Alexa hardware device that is compatible with Matter for any of this to work, even though the devices are WiFi. But, only 2.4 GHz WiFi. Why? In this day and age, things should be supporting 2.5 and 5 GHz connections, ESPECIALLY at this price point. These aren't exactly the cheapest smart plugs. Most of my gripes seem to potentially be about the way "Matter" works, and not specifically with these plugs. Although I have not used the plugs extensively yet, they do work, and setup was easy enough. I just wish the QR code wasn't pasted on the top of these for you to see forever, that 3 devices didn't show up if you can only actually use 2, and that there was 5 GHz support. But, they are what they are, but not 5-stars to me. I was tempted for 3 stars, but settled on a "low" 4. Read more

Terrible product.

PiperFlyerβ€”November 16, 2025

For over 10 years, I have put Smart Switches all over my house, from integrated light switches and plugs to plug in switches and even a couple smart extension cords. But these? Zero stars. They inconsistently do not respond and routinely β€œfall off of my network.” None of the other switches do this. None. One star is too much. Read more

I love these!!!!

Nanβ€”May 7, 2025

I love my smart plugs! Great help! I would suggest these for anyone who has WiFi! If you ever worry about forgetting to leave on lights, turn off lights, or want lights on upstairs before you get up there. That is just an Alexa suggestion or smartphone touch away. These plugs worked perfectly the first time with very little effort on my part. Read more
