Very easy to set up and use. The fan isn't completely silent but not enough noise to draw any attention. Installation of drives is secure and any size/length is OK. I didn't purchase this to increase my storage but more to consolidate all the drives I've accumulated over the years that have memories and important data on them. I usually had the drives in a case and labeled but now I have instant access to all my old drives instantly with a flip on the switch. Very pleased with this purchase so far. Read more

Absolutely a power house! I had a chance to test the Cenmate M.2 enclosure and was impressed with it's performance. I have used their products in the past and can say that they usually fill a niche by providing USB connected drive devices. This device is no exception. This includes everything needed to get started from a screw driver, to extra rubber drive clips, to the cables. Setup was easy by simply pressing the hot swap bay latches and slotting in the m.2 drives. Performance is solid and I was able to fully saturate a 10Gbps USB link with ease. The enclosure did not care if I mixed drives from different vendors or not, it just took it all. Windows Storage Spaces works with this enclosure and sees the drives as individual drives. Overall, a great option if you have a need to add additional high speed storage to any system. Read more

I'm relatively new to M.2 SSD's but I have a few on hand. As I upgrade my PC's I end up with spare drives, and I like to put them to use. They are great for making back-ups and also to store information you may want to have in duplicate in case of a crash or power surge. This is not only a way to do that but also one that you can connect to your pc when needed or when you want to still be able to access that data. So you can keep this unplugged on a shelf for safe keeping, and occasionally hook it up to your pc for access to those spares, or to use for additional storage in the live mode when needed. Read more

This style of memory NVME hard drive sticks is getting more common, bigger, and cheaper. This box can gold up to 6, 3 per bay, so you can load up your PC with lots of easy to deal with memory that is external and can be move around or swapped out easily. You just have to remember you'll need a power outlet and USB cables handy, plus desk space, and this comes with the power supply and USB cable. I'm not sure I have any not in use NVME drives right now but I'll update when I get something to try in this thing. Claims to be plug and play and hot swappable which I have do reason to doubt. A very nicely made and thought out little box. The price seems very reasonable for what you get too. Read more
