This is a really nice splatter guard for the microwave. It's got vent holes in it and little side lift handles which are nice. My other one did not have that. The grip on top is silicone so it doesn't get hot in the microwave and it almost feels like the screw is ceramic or ceramic coated or something It's interesting but it works. It's quite hefty as it's real glass not plastic so it has some weight to it and it's pretty easy to clean. Can just wipe it out use soap and water nothing's going to really harm it. It's also nice for helping to steam things by keeping the steam closer to the bowl so things don't dry out as easily. I also really like the silicone mat that comes with it so you're not clinking the glass against the turntable if you have that type of microwave and makes it a soft landing. I hate cleaning our microwave. It is located above the stove and I am short so it is a complete pain to have to scrub it down regularly. Enter this splatter cover. One thing I like is that it is glass. And sturdy glass at that. It has small vent holes and a silicone handle which is appreciated as it does not get too hit to handle when the food is done cooking. It is easy to clean and fits in the dishwasher without issue. I really cannot think of anything negative about this cover. This is awesome! I normally would have never thought to buy a cover for inside the microwave... but the day after I decided to deep clean our microwave this was recommended to me. This is a well thought out piece. A nice silicon handle so you dont have to hold hot glass in the microwave is great. There is plenty of height so you can have a bowl or a larger meal inside, but you wont fit a full chicken or anything like that. There is also two vent holes in the side of the glass so you are not going to get any pressure build up. This also comes with a silicon mat so clean up is even easier than just having a cover alone. I honestly wish I would have thought of buying something like this months ago, before I had to deep clean my microwave. Read more

This heavy glass splatter cover is great in theory. 1. It's very solid and doesn't feel like it'll break if you bump it into something. 2. The rubber knob handle on the top is soft and spongy and never gets hot - it has a plastic screw as well. 3. The rubber bottom mat is really nice and easy to clean. But here are the issues: 1. The width of the cover is about the size of the average plate - NOT bigger than the plate though. 2. The height is very low and most of my bowls either just-touch the lid, or are too tall and the cover just sits on them. 3. That top knob is very large, and to get it off the dish, you have to lift it right up - so you lose a couple inches of clearance there. - a better solution would be side handles so you can lift it to the top of the microwave to remove. 4. There are only two small vapor holes in the cover. That means that the cover is always full of condensation. Nicely made, but not great in function. Read more
