Good Value for the Price
I got these garment bags so I can take several different outfits with me for photo shoots. Each bag will hold a couple of dresses or a suit and blouse. They could also be used to store wedding gowns or evening dresses as long as the skirts are not too full; however, they would not be able to hold my wedding gown because it has a very full skirt and a long train. These garment bags have several great features. They have clear plastic windows so you can see what is in them and these windows have clear plastic sleeves that can hold a name tag or business card. They also have a metal grommet at the bottom so you can fold the bag in half and slip the grommet over the clothes hanger to hold it in place. These bags are supposed to be waterproof, but I would say they are water resistant rather than waterproof. While the material itself is waterproof, water can still get through the hanger opening at the top and also possibly leak through the zipper, although I haven't fully submerged them to see if that happens. While they won't keep your outfits bone dry if they fall in the pool, they should work well enough to protect your clothes from rain and accidental spills and splashes. I'm not sure if these bags would completely protect your woolen clothing from moths because they could get in through the hanger openings at the top. However, it may at least slow them down. If moths are a concern, you might try totally sealing the openings with packing tape. The material feels like coated paper (or possibly recycled plastic), that is lightweight, yet sturdy enough to resist rips and tears under normal travel conditions. If you need an economical way to carry a few outfits or you need to protect your good formal wear in storage, these garment bags are a good buy for the price. Read more
