Good light. Motion sensor works well instalation was very easy, drill a pilot hole, screw in the hook, hang the light and plug it in. The light is being used a storage area. When some one is in there, they need light. Otherwise it can be dark to save electric cost. The motion sensor works well for this application. The light output is very good. One note, the hanger can adjusted to the hight you want. But, it appears to be one way. Once you set the set the hight, you cannot lower it. At least I was not able to see how to do that. After having our Chamberlain garage door opener replaced with a Genie opener, we soon found out the Genie was missing some very nice features we had gotten used to. One of them was a motion sensor on the opener button that would automatically turn on the opener lights when we went into the garage from the house at night. I found this Runbarry motion sensor garage light and hoped it could replace the motion sensor function of the old opener, and it has worked very well. We have an outlet in our garage ceiling for plugging our opener, and so I put an outlet expansion device into the outlet (also purchase here on Amazon) to allow me to plug in additional items like this light. The motion sensor works great - it usually pops on as soon as I open the garage door, but sometimes it hesitates until I have a foot on the first step of the stairs into our garage. It's very bright, so I angled the fins that are oriented towards the doorway down horizontal with the floor, while angling the rest at about a 30 deg angle to the floor to cast more light outwards towards the walls of the garage. I was able to mount the hook to hang the light from just using my hands to screw it into a ceiling joist. The toughest part was getting the wires to the right lengths to make the light even with the floor. The little adjuster took a second to figure out (hint: there's a button function on the bottom you need to push up in order to get the wires to extend). There is a set screw that you can tighten once you get the wires oriented so you don't have to go through that hassle again. The hooks that attach to the plastic loops on the top of the light are a right pain to get attached. Be aware that while you are trying to adjust the wires to even and level the light that those hooks/clasps on the ends of the wire don't always want to extend fully; the one plastic loop was oriented such that it caught the clasp rather than have it fully extended and show the true length of that particular hanging wire. Once you start playing with it, you'll see what I'm describing. After I got it all set I was very happy with the end result, but I wish they had designed an easier hanging solution for it. Read more

This little lamp puts out a good, strong light. We use it in the laundry room. Walk in with a basket and the light goes on. No bumping into stuff. We can see much better than with the shop light we had before. Will probably get two more to replace the 100 watt bulbs in the garage. Read more

Pleased with my purchase. Had some difficulty hanging it with the cables and needed to get replacement cables. It was probably my fault for not following instructions. Customer service was great and replaced the cables in 2 days. Using the light in my garage. As soon as my car enters the bright light turns on. My garage door opener lights don't work and this was a much cheaper solution. When walking in the dark garage I need to be 3-4 feet away to get it to turn on. Read more
