Wow! This is a really cool way to light practically anything. Especially useful for hard to reach anything because of the long flexible joint. It came ready to be used and was quick to charge up. We used it to light some incense and it sure beats having to turn on the stove or light a match, especially on windy occasions. Just fantastic! It’s very easy to use and quite intuitive. It has several nice built in safety features like automatically shutting off after 7 seconds of continuous ignition. We haven’t used it long enough to say how many times it can be used before needing to be recharged but so far, it has really impressed us. It seems to be much better than the butane grill long lighters we’ve been using all this time. Overall, this is a great product! The size is perfect also. Once I got my first rechargeable electric lighter I knew I'd never go back to flame lighters for inside the house. It is much easier to catch a candle wick with the small plasma arc than a big open flame melting the wax all around it. I was skeptical at first, this looked to small to work- but boy howdy was I wrong! While in packaging this looks like your basic China knock off, for the price it works as well as any other on the market. It holds a charge well and has a useful indicator when turned on to show charge level. It comes with a short cord and no wall plug. This charges on micro USB, not USB-c or lightning. I have enough other little electronics to have a charging station set up in my office so I don't actually use the included cord. It charges fast and lasts a while per charge. I don't think I'll ever buy a liquid fuel lighter again! This is so much easier and safer for lighting fireworks (my main motivation for trying it). Unlike my butane lighters, it doesn't fail to light in high humidity conditions. The sliding safety means it won't accidentally be activated when shoved in a pocket or bag so I feel very safe bringing it along places. The flexible neck allows for easy lighting of candles. I am also able to light paper for starting a campfire or propane for a cook stove. The indicator lights let me know when I need to re-charge. It came with a short micro USB cord and I have other cords like this from previous electronics purchases. This is the only change I would suggest -- everything is moving to USB C and I'd rather have that type of connection so I don't need to look for a special cord or line up the direction. Read more

I live where it gets pretty cold in the winter. Those long butane lighters are handy but when it gets cold, forget about it. Last Halloween I had some luminaries to light and I had to keep the lighter in my shirt pocket, inside my coat to get it to work. Not a problem with this KTEBO Rechargeable Plasma Arc Lighter. The Li ion battery should not effected by the cold until well below zero. I left it out overnight and tested it at 10ºF, -12ºC, and it sparked to life without any trouble. It is rechargeable and has an charge indicator on the handle. There is a lock on the button so it won't discharge by accident. I haven't tried making ice luminaries because I knew what a pain it would be to light the candles but I'm sure the Plasma Arc Lighter will get the job done. We are familiar with this device. We tried a different brand for the first time a couple of years ago. We have not gone back to using matches or manual lighters. When I saw this similar electric lighter offered, of course I could not pass it up. You must charge it via a provided 6.5" USB cable. Once the lighter reaches the fourth blue dot, it is fully charged and ready to do its magic. I have seen similar electric lighters on the market, but not all have the bendable neck. This makes lighting say, a candle in a jar safer and easier. I love this method of lighting. So far, this brand works just as well as ones we already have.
