I ordered 3 sets of these back in Feb 2023 and now it is March 2025. They do a great job at diverting downspout water away from the foundation. I found the flexibility to be useful for getting around tree stumps. I chose white to match my gutter system. One of the tubes has completely crumbled after about 2 years of use on the west side of my house and exposed to lots of sunlight. I guess that’s a decent life for a product at this price point. The others I have are still going strong, but they are shaded by bushes. I will consider burying it to prevent UV degradation. Read more

These downspout extensions look fine out of the box, but once installed, the problems start immediately. The plastic is thin and flimsy, so the extension collapses instead of staying open, especially after a little rain or when stepped on even slightly. They don’t stay securely attached to the downspout either. After the first decent rainfall, one of them popped right off and sent water straight back toward my foundation. The whole point of an extension is to direct water away, not fail the first time it’s actually needed. Because they’re flexible, they kink easily and block water flow. You end up with standing water and overflow instead of proper drainage. I had to constantly readjust them, which defeats the purpose of a “set it and forget it” product. Cheap material, poor design, and unreliable performance. I’d avoid these and look for a sturdier option. Read more
