I own more stoves than anyone should. Though I already have several different Esbit stoves, including this type, I thought I would give this brand a try. I'm glad I did as I found them to be very good quality for the price. Yes, they have sharp edges, but that can be dealt with some 180 sandpaper, and only took a few minutes to fix both. And yes, the blue protection film can be a PIA, BUT it wasn't at all for the ones I got other than I did need to use a pair of tweezers to reach two small spots that did not peel off with all of the rest. I peeled off the film first, then lightly sanded all edges. I have worked with products that use the film to protect items during manufacturing so I am well aware of that PIA. Again, I had no problem with my order. The only "problem" I see with this type of stove is it's "slower than I'd like" boiling time... but for what it's design TO DO, it does it very well!!! Fuel tabs seem to be a slow fuel, and a little expensive, but I find the design, package size and how well it works over all worth owning. I must as of this moment I have 4 of this design. Great little stoves you got two of them for the price of one! Mine were very sturdy. Some people on their reviews did not say that, but mine they were sturdy and strong, and I was able to even put a rack on top of them! Trying to pull off the blue thing that gave you something to do, for a long time because it took forever to get it off in all the nooks and crannies. And then when you had to use your stove, it smell like burnt plastic. But it burnt fast get tweezers pull it out. They’re so small and so portable so useful, great food and fire source. Read more

Well made, sturdy. For the price, they are an excellent addition to camping or emergency gear. With DIY wax and cardboard fuel tabs they will work well. The bargain price makes the minor annoyance of removing the plastic coating worth it. Read more

Keep looking…..these have an irritating blue plastic film that is impossible to remove all of it because of how the stove is made. My concern is how it melts everywhere when being used. Read more

They didnt take off the plastic film when assembling them so you need to either break, clean, and rerivit or burn off the plastic in the hard to reach spots Read more
